Some women need the “friends first” frame to feel safe and in control. If you push against it, they’ll dig in and resist. If you play along and simply enjoy the time together, their guard lowers, tension builds, and eventually they’ll blur the line themselves. The key is not to fight the frame, but to let them believe the shift is their idea. That way you’re never really in limbo; they escalate, and they’ll feel it was their choice all along. It is the main premise of social circle game.

There’s a common misconception about the “friendzone.” In my experience, when women use this term, they often don’t even want you as a friend or an orbiter; they just want you to stop contacting them.
