Well saw this guy today and he told me what happened.
Turns out he caved and let her drive his car. Apparently they started in a parking lot and she is so little that she can barely see over the hood and doors. The car is quite big and not the best thing to be learning on. Almost immediately she made a right turn and almost hit something. Buddy was regretting his decision but I guess after that she did pretty well and it became a non-issue.
I guess at some point later on they were hanging out and she started crying. She was feeling insecure about their "situation". I've been telling him to play hard to get and I guess it was making her uncomfortable. So the result of all this was that now they are "officially" boyfriend/girlfriend. I didn't even want to ask how that went down. I have a feeling he's the type to tell her he "loves" her right away.
