HELP! trouble keeping an erection

hey guys,

ive had this problem happen to me a couple times lately and its got me worried.

i have no problem GETTING an erection; when we first start kissing, touching, feeling, etc everything is good. But, after 15+ minutes of that, i didnt have the erection anymore and it can be tough to get it back (especially once that "ahh crap" thought is in my mind)

i havent been masturbating much lately (once every few days), but im willing to completely cut that out if it helps. i work out regularly and eat relatively healthy too. plus im only in my early-mid 20s which is scary.

does anyone know of any tips or medicines that could help me out?

I had a somewhat similar issue for awhile, I obviously can't say if it's the same from your perspective, but with me, I was too focused on her and not what I needed. You definately need to please your woman, but you need to help number 1 get what he wants first.

It's probably anxiety. And this sucks to know because you will only get more anxious knowing that. I never had the erection problem but I did have a premature ejaculation problem when I was a teenager which stemmed from some of the same problems.

First thing you need is PATIENCE. Both your's and your partner's. You need a solid woman for this because the shallow ones will only make it worse with their reactions.

Second you need to find a way AROUND the problem. For instance, when I was young, I became good at foreplay in order to participate better. So if I busted after 5 minutes of thrusting then, it wasn't a big deal because she was already more than enthused with what I had been doing and gave me the requited ego stroking. I became less pressured to perform and gradually relaxed and found techniques to prolong myself until I became the marathon runner I am today.

Oddly enough, I think you MAY need to do the exact opposite of what I did. You might need to work into the sex a little quicker. Do your thing but make sure you go quid pro quo with her afterwards and blow her mind. I also think that stopping and starting with her doing whatever it is that gets you hard in the first place would help too. There are, of course, things like rings and viagra out there if you need it.

I agree that it is anxiety. If you are able to obtain an erection in the morning or when watching porn, then you know it is not a physiological problem. If neither of the above are true, then you could have a medical problem just to let other viewers know.

It's important to live a well rounded lifestyle. Cardio exercises are important not only for physical but psychological reasons, and the same goes for a healthy diet. Depression and anxiety are big time killers of sexual function. You may also want to meditate or try progressive muscle relaxation to begin reducing the amount of generalized tension in your life.
