Hi guys, just wanted to know more about strech marks. I was 6ft 160 pounds before the summer, after starting working out everyday I gained 10 pounds. Now I am 6'1 173 pounds, but because of all the heavy work out I got strech marks on my back. It's been 5 months and it got better but I was wondering if continueing to work out his making it worse. So should I just quit working out until it goes away or can I still continue to workout every other day?

On personal experience, I'd advice you to stop it until they fade.

And do whatever caused you skin to be dry before the workout next time.

I also have them on my back, but got them before I started working out.

Still looking for a way to fix them; doctor said to get the sun on it can help, so that's what i've been doing.

Thanks for reply, any idea how long it takes to fade? I'm an athelet and right now it's off season. I really have to start gettin back into shape for baseball and football.

Stretch marks are war wounds; battle-scars to be borne with pride and honour.

Stop being such a nancyboy and get some more. :D

(on a more serious note, they're inevitable when you do heavy lifting.. try some oils to get rid of them but you'll get more once you start lifting again, so I don't see the point personally)
