"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me think of a smooth approach. This is the situation:

I am stupid.
Ok, so during lunch time my friends and I go to eat and there was a long line to order. I noticed it was really busy and almost everyone was rude to this really cute cashier. So when it was my turn to come up, I came to the register with a big smile and said Hello Z [her name] and she smiled back. I said please and thank yous to be nice and stand out from those rude people. During my whole eating I kept catching her eye me, so I was just trying to play it cool [eh bad mistake lol] So anyways, it was time to go and this is when I knew she was interested. I was leaving and looked around for her and I find her already smiliing at me, even as I turned back I just waved bye and the person who she was ringing up was like, "uhh..wtf?" lol. Anyways...I just wanted to cut the crap and admit that I was stupid for not going in, even though it would be rude to ask for her number infront of all the customers, I think I should have =/......

So I ask you people to help me think of an approach next time I see her =] THank yoU!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Say "Hi"

Followed boy "How are you?"

You should have said that instead of "please" and "thank you".

If you want to "stand out" like you said you should have asked her things like:

"How has your day been?"

"What are you up to?"

"What food do you recommend?"

“What you doing tonight?”

From there you should have carried on a short convo with her. Not just said "please and thank you"

Its ok newbie there is always tomorrow.

P.S. Don't put smiley faces on the title of your post and don't call your self stupid. If you consider your self stupid nobody else you meet can possibly think more of you.

ok kid, I'm going to help you out because you are young and I feel sorry for you.

Next time you order a meal (make sure she is at the cash register) order a something small and then when she says "Would you like anything else? You say, "yes, I would like your phone number, but don't charge me for it", then roll your eyes.

She'll give you her number for just being so cute and witty!!!!

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I'd highly recommend you check out our DJ Bible, which will give you great advice on how to approach and handle many situations, include tons of variations of the one you just described. The tips in The Archive section is also of great value.
