Just started a new job where I'm pretty much on my feet for like 5 hours - often standing around - plus the 20 minute walk to get there. My feet, legs and back have been really bugging me and making an already dull job even worse. I workout out my legs a lot (squats, deadlifts and lunges  ) but i dont think strength is going to help.

Does anyone have any advice on how i can improve this situation? Im thinking some endurance/flexibility exercises might help. Also some new shoes and orthotics.

Im also worried that this will negatively impact my ability to workout since Ill be too tired after a long day at work to hit the gym or wont have as intense of a workout. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem in which work made them too tired to go to the gym?

I stand on my feet 8hrs a day, except when on break. But I dont walk 20 minutes to work. I also weight train though it doesnt bother me. Yes, my legs are sore somedays but its not a big deal. Because of my work schedule I usually have to train in the morning before I go to work..

Better cardiovascular health would help in my unqualified opinion. I lift a lot, and I HATE doing cardio, but when I do get into it after 1-2 months I can feel a lot more endurance and energy in all my physical activity theogony the day. Doing squats and good leg/core workouts helps a lot as well
