Religious people aren't all bad...just the radical ones. It's their churches that tell them they have to go door knocking to try to recruit. When I was married and living in Florida this little old Jehovah's Witness lady came knocking on my door. She was so sweet and I liked her. I didn't know anyone there and my ex was really abusive and I thought it would be nice to have someone to talk to. I told her up front that I was never going to join her religion and that I'm usually very annoyed by people knocking at my door like that. I also told her that I wouldn't mind having her come back to visit me once a week to talk about religion in general and what not as long as she promised not to be pushy and to understand that I would not change my mind about her religion because I don't like organized religion. So...for about 6 months she would come over once a week and we'd sit out on the patio, drink tea and just hang out. Sometimes we'd talk religion and other times we'd talk about our kids, husbands, the news, etc. It was kinda nice. She promised me that she would make sure no one else ever came pestering me from her church and they never did, lol. She was such a sweetheart.Potbelly said:
