"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

oh alright, was my birthday on the 19th so i headed down to the club with a bunch of mates to have some fun and maybe pick up some booty.

anyway the booty was a failure for that night, because most of the time i just got bugged into downing big glasses of foul smelling mixed drinks by my excellent friends who were having a ball of a time laughing at me and my contorted look of pain each time the burning alcohol slipped past my throat cavity. PAH

i was sh*t piss drunk by the end of the night so i stumbled out to get some fresh air. there was this pretty girl (HB7.5) doing the reservations for the club... i had talked to her earlier that night, she knew me as the birthday boy... so losing my inhibitions i said... hey moli... whats your number? and i think she keyed it in my phone.

so i went home and i totally forget about her and suddenly 2 days later, i see her number in my phone. stunned.

called her up

me: hey moli, whats your number doing in my phone...? jake here.

her: oh, you asked me to key it in so i did.

me; ahh... my bad if i alarmed you, i was sh*t pissed high

her: thats alright, it was your birthday... everyone deserves
to get wasted at least once a year! (laughs0

me: haah... thas right.. say, would love to make it up to you. ... how does a cuppa something wonderful and some stimulating conversation sound?

her: a nice big box of chocolates will do as well. :D... -laughs- ill have a drink with you, but definitely not tonight... i'm up to my shoulders with work!

me: ah the modern overworked woman. how intruiging. anyways i got work to do as well, so ill talk to you sometime later and arrange a date for a drink

her: sounds good

me: talk to ya soon moli (click)

ok thats how it went... now what i'd like to know is how to phrase asking her out on the drink next week? like what to say... without coming across as desperate for her attention. :) any adivce will be very helpful! thanks.

Sounds like she already likes you plenty for some reason. I don't think you need any help. Just ask her but put it in the form of a statement, "I think we should go out for a drink"

just be cool about it. it's not hard to ask someone out, and once you do, you'll be like "jesus, that was easy!"

just do what you think is right, and you'll do fine
(just dont be AFC about it) esp if she says, ummmm... no.

if she does say no, come up w/ a c&f statement, or neg. hit on her.

there are tips on that if you search

Just say where you are going (legitimately, like for example I was heading for an outing downtown) and invite her along. The last time I asked someone to come with me was in the form of begging my (then) gf to go dinner with me. Sheesh. Now I just go "I'm going to x. Wanna come along?" If she says no, then who cares? You're still going, and will have fun without her.

I'm re-reading this and noticed I still 'asked' a question -- it's the context: come along if you want, but it's not necessary.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

You have already set the stage because you basically asked her out when you said:

how does a cuppa something wonderful and some stimulating conversation sound?
She wanted to go out with you, but was busy that night. Call her up on a night that you think she won't be working and just say:

"Hey Moli, I'm going to <such and such> coffee shop tonight. You should come along and entertain me."

If she is still busy, tell her to give you a call when she is available.

If she doesn't call back within a week, try calling her one more time and if she is still busy, next her.

sounds good. gonna use this next week. thanks MrCode :D

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
