I just found out my growth plates are fused (closed). I'm 15, and I'm 5.7. My dads 5.8-5.9, and my grandpa was my height.

I hope this doesn't effect my business life. I'm going to have to work bloody hard to have a completely persuasive personality against the taller crowd who has some automatically.

I was told i was going to be in the 5'6-5'8 range after going to a specialist and having my growth plate examined.

I'm over 6'0, hence the doctor was wrong!

.....My dad is tall and a lot of my family members are over six feet.

i read somewhere .... that males stop growing height wise after 21.

My younger brother was 5'2 at 15 and at 16 he shot up to 5'7 now he is 19 at 6'0.

I guess it depends on the person's genes.

I had xrays of my knees taken.

Tristan, did you have actual xrays taken, or just have your body "examined" on the outside?

I'm extremely well educated (140IQ, 170 Verbal IQ). I look 18-19, and I powerlift. I didn't start weightlifting till about two years ago, however in total I've only been lifting a year. Some people blame the weights but I've researched for hours and there's no proof to support that.I started adolesence when I was 10. So, I'm well into it. My fathers 5.9, and my mothers 5.2, so it would be explainable why I'm only 5.7. I don't mind, it's good for weightlifting since i'll be competing soon however I'd like to be taller (5.11)

Depends what kind of education. It shows your potential by far, but knoweldge is different

That's fine. Hitler was of similar height. So you can still have chance of enslaving and ruling nations of the world

Here's a classic example of limiting yourself by the way you look at something.

Sure it is a proven fact if you are short/ugly/disabled......you will have a rougher time of things in relationships, business, getting served etc, etc.

Now, for some this is an excuse to moan or do nothing, to others it's THE reason to get the results you want despite these things.

The are thousands of short guys who are wealthy business people because part of them decided it was a motivating factor rathjer than a limiting one.

Look at Bernie Ecclestone or even Paul Daniels! Do you honestly think they would have the wives they do if they weren't driven to over achieve.

What makes me laugh is losers who sniff at shortass over achievers and scorn their success while they sit on their fat arses watching TV.

Stephen Hawking, I reckon he's short too but it's hard to tell.

There's no link between height and intelligence. Actually there is a link between intelligence and race.

Western races and Afro-carribeans are less intelligent than Asians (as an average).

Women have smaller brains, yet statistically they are the same on IQ, yeah I had trouble with that one too.

I specifically brought this up, what was your reaction?

Slightly different to that of short people I suspect.
