height question

I never really measured how tall I was and I thought I am 5'9. Whenever s1 asks how tall i m, I say 5'9. Apparently I am really 5'8 when I went to the doctor and also measured myself. Now I tell ppl that i m 5'8 and everyone says you are not 5'8. some say to me you are 5'8 and you are taller than me.

My hair makes me look tall. My hair goes up and sometimes when you measure me with my hair I look about 5'11 or more. If I wear shoes, I look 6 from the back but if you look at me you can tell its the hair. Have anyone ever mistaken you for your height b/c your hair makes you look tall? I am not talking about those kids with afros though. I also consider 5'8 to be short but I do not look short because of my hair. One gal I remember a while ago say wow your tall and I am a little under average height.

If ppl ask me should i just say 58 or say 5'9 because I look 59. yes i know this is a dumb and pointless question

You're 5"8. So you say 5"8. When people say you're not 5"8, you tell them exactly what you just told us.

Saying anything else is just confusing, pointless, and leads to ridiculous conversations.

I'm 6"0, so I say 6"0. Because i'm 6"0. It's pretty easy

regarding your statement about being a little under average: avg height in the US was 68 or 69in the last time i saw statistics, so you're right on the money.
