My average electricity bill is about 200 bucks a month. Im trying to find a way to lower this. My house is heated through electricity and I live in New England so around this time its cold as hell. Obvioiusly I turn the heat off when im not home.

Im curious if using a space heater to help the electric heat is a good or bad idea. The space heater still would run on electricity but wondering if its more efficient to use a space heater and use the regular heat to heat up the room faster and keep it heated.
