Having goofy looking ears

SInce I am already known as the looks guru on this forum, I guess I should keep going.

Do any of you have ears that stick out too far from your head? I do, they are not as bad as Jorge Posada or Ben Stiller per se, but they still stick out.

For the most part, I have an slightly above average looking face, but I always feel the ears draw attention away from my face.

I have considered an otoplasty, but then again the ears are not really part of the face.

Do you think guys with big ears that stick out too far are automatically labeled "goofy looking". I tend to notice other guys who have ears like mine right away.

BTW, my ears stick out about the same from this actor from the Soprano's.

I actually have been told I look like him a few times (not really a compliment) but my nose is a little smaller and I think I have a more handsome face then he does.

I think certain flaws such as ears and noses can add character to someones face, obviously there will be exceptions where they look hideous but you get what I mean. To be honest I think you dwell too much on this stuff mahon.

Another reason--on top of many--that nobody cares this much about looks, is because they are temporary, while having game lasts your whole life. When your skin starts to fade and wrinkle, your cheeks start to drop, your hair starts to fall out, you'll have nothing and be nobody. The longer you obsess over looks, the narrower your perspective will get as your world gets smaller and smaller. While ugly and average people are out championing the world, you're out making sure you stand in the right lighting to best accentuate your jawline in hopes people will better accept you. Do you not see the pedantic and downright farcical side of this?

My ears stick out a lot!... It used to bother me before, but now I could care less.. ALthough if I want to pursue my past dreams of becoming a runway model, I'd prolly need surgery to get my ears pinned back. But other than that, if someone judges me based on my ****ing ears.. they're ridiculous and I wouldn't want people like that around me. I used to get teased about it when I was a little kid, but now people are hopefully getting more mature.

I am NOT going to disagree with you at all, as you are mostly right. I know 10 years from now (aged 40) my metabolism might slow and I get a gut, receding hairline, double chin, baggy eyelids. etc.

However, ALL MEN WHO ARE SINGLE aged 20-40 or so, better be damned sure they LOOK THEIR BEST and correct (via surgery if they have to) any physical features that they find less than desirable.

I can tell you this: My thick hair is one of my better features of my face and at aged 30, I really have no signs of losing it.

If I noticed I were going bald, I would FREAK because I would probably go from a 7 to a 4 or5 on the looks scale. SHAVING my head is not an option because I have a somewhat prominent nose and ears that stick out from my head a little too far.

I **** you not, if this were to happen.......I WOULD get a hair transplant or SHAVE my head and have an otoplasty (ears pinned back) done.
