"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey guys,

With a month and a half before I head off to college (I am 18), I have laid back and relaxed when it comes to girls. I am not looking for any sort of relationship since I am going to be gone soon anyway (a summer fling though could work ;) ). I also have not tried talking to almsot every chick from my days back at HS, since most if not all were very immature and are not worth the time. If anything, I try to improve the smaller, more finer kinks in my game in social situations, but it hasn't been on my mind all that much.

Back to the topic, I am working as a 4th grade head counselor at a sports camp (yes, I like telling others that I'm the head counselor lol  ). Two and a half weeks in (out of 6), I have found two HB specialists (they work at a sport my kids go to) that are close to my age that I get along with. One is a HB7 who is 16. I get along with her and talk to her a little bit. My friend that works there works at that sport as well, so I talk to him most of the time anyway. The other chick is a HB 8-8.5 who is 17. We also, get along, but talking to her at the sport she works at is more difficult because one of my campers is always trying to hug/harass her and she receives more "attention", but not from any counselors in my group - I describe this in the next paragraph. I have used some witty remarks that make her smile or laugh. Sometimes, it seems like she just glances up and smiles at me for a sec when we make eye contact.

I received a bit of kino from the HB7 when both of them took a dip into the pool during our group's swim (kids swim, counselors usually won't). The HB 8-8.5 had to get back to her sport, but the HB7, on break, sat next to me and the kino ensued there as a few of us were talking. Not about the "attention" with the HB 8-8.5...a lot of the other specialists are older, like 20-21 years old. They still like to try and "womanize" chicks that work here who are 16 or 17. My quasi-boss (watches over a few groups, including mine, but can't really fire anyone but he does has a voice with the real bosses) mentioned to me that these way older guys are womanizing waaaay too much, and it's not good - especially when these other specialists are away from the sports they should be working at.

Right now, I basically have just chilled and talked to them when I'm at their sport - some C+F/wittiness here and there, but nothing special. Anything you guys recommend? I'm not trying to get any sort of relationship going as I don't "like" them - of course, "rounding the bases" with one of them would be welcomed :p, but I won't push it, as I perfer to just let it flow.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Just have a good time; let the good times roll. If you enjoy their company, invite them to hang out after work.

It's that simple. Then, the heat will turn up; and things will take course.

Keep that attitude of yours; it's great.

I agree with Contender. If you want something to happen, make it happen.

Yeah, I'm sure it would

Anyway, thanks for the insight Contender and LikRetSam. I'll see if there's anything I can make happen - of course, if that opportunity presents itself.

Today (just FYI), the HB7 chick seemed like she's the one who is acting more social towards me. At her sport (softball), she told the counselor I work with to go play w/ the kids as I maintained my cool and lazy image with the other softball people :p - she talked to me for a sec, but I knew she wasn't going to try to make me move. Later on, she had to pitch (to the kids) and I came up to hit cuz the team I was hitting for was tied and the kid that can't swing the bat was up - don't worry, he asked me to hit for him. The other counselor struck out when he hit, so I had to watch out. No worries though (she was smiling when I came up too)...after she pitched two balls that were above my head and after she drilled me with the next pitch, I hit a bomb to to the OF...that my camper made an amazing catch on. :cuss:

As for HB8, again, a 21-year old specialist (apparently was with our group for 3 days, but now is leaving??) was trying to womanize. The 20-year old guy specialist and her get along well, but then again, they're at soccer all day (that's her sport). I did get to talk to her at the expense of teasing one of my campers pretty badly (he lost a bet I made with him)be eating two little candies, which was the prize, right in front of him. I gave my extra one to the HB8 so she could eat it in front of him, as a joke, but she was nice and didn't want to "be mean". I had to later cheer the kid up though and he wanted to say hi to HB8. :flowers:

My report on today was a little long (don't worry, that's all I'm writing about them specifically until something does happen), but I maintained my attitude and things do look alright on the horizon.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Never succumb to their desires; be a little difficult, but playful. I personally hate desperate girls; I'm sure that girls hate desperate guys.

You're doing great. Keep it up.

Flirt a little more, though. Don't let her think your ALL OVER her, but be playful and flirtatious.. not a block of wood.
