yes... it was half intentionnally, I started acting all wimpy because this woman wasn't giving it up... and wasn't going to anytime soon.
I still wasn't comfortable dumping the woman, back when I was still at the start of my recovery phase.

I doubt it! If they loved you even more by being AFC, why bother being a DJ / challenge etc.. in a relationship ?
Sure, you could go out, be an AFC, by her some jewellery, flowers, love note, tell her she's your world, call her 6 times a day and i think she'll be half way across the globe...or you could be a DJ, take control and DUMP HER.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
