I hate to blow my own horn, but organizedconfusion your whole rant still ties into my theory subconciously. First, most (i'm not saying all) women don't want to be "friends" with someone they're attracted to. It doesn't happen. Although most males still subconciously try and get point number #2 to happen. DJs know not to and are trained not to do this.
Organized, you never mentioned if the girls that you consider attractive "put you in the friends zone". If that's the case, then point #1's still valid.
Second when you mention that you'll act on it if mutual attraction's there. You're saying that you either "won't act on your attraction" or the girl that is attracted to you "won't act on hers!" See your rant still fits into my theory.
Last, I understand that there's no need to psychoanalyze the friendship between members of the opposite sex, but we need to take a more definitive stand on it. Some people like you don't mind anything of these points happening to you because you've had a positive experience with the opposite sex. Some people have been scarred for life doing the same things that you've done so your advice isn't really valid for everyone.
I just want to lay out 95% of all the outcomes that come in friendship. That way most people know what they're getting into with friendship.
