"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

there's this girl (HB9) i'm interested in but i think i'm too late. she just became single lately but ever since, she's been attached to one of her friends where-ever her group of friends go. she just seems really happy in his prescence.

she laughs at the dumbest things he says. and they are really dumb. i admit i'm an afc, but the things he says to her even make me gag. but she finds it hiliarious. on top of that she's always suggesting that they go grocery shopping, or go studying together after class. one time, she was talking about buying ladyfingers (a type of ingredient) and someone joked, "is that a sex thing?" she laughed and said "oh, i can imagine _____ (her friend) awkwardly asking for them at the store". he's pretty much on her mind

my gut tells me she really likes him, so I'm wondering if I even have a chance. the only thing that leaves an opening, is that her friend is a complete nice guy. i asked one of my friends and she told me that he always drives her around, picks her up from the airport, goes grocery shopping with her, studies with her, etc. the thing is, he did this for over a year when the girl was in a long distance relationship, before she became single.

so, what should I do to try to get this girl? or has she pretty much picked the "nice guy"?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Make a move, the first girl I went after had a guy friend and I thought they were going out, but I later found out they were friends. Kept me from making a move.

I don't know what the chick is thinking. I assume the guy is a schmuck for driving her around and not getting any.

All you can do to try and get the girl is invite her over to watch a movie and give her some alcohol. If that isn't in your cards then I don't think you've got much of a chance.

She seems like a major attention ***** imho. Stringing guys along left and right...
