A player is someone who pretends to love someone but has ulterior motives. Strippers are the penultimate female players (pretending to be interested but only caring about money usually) so of course I've been played. I'm not a player myself (pretending to be interested but only care about sex) as I'm too much of a romantic.
You need to be a master detective at solving the mystery of whether a person really loves you or is using you. Everyone must deal with that.
For the past few years, women for the most part could never surprise me because when you read them properly you are always one step ahead. Early on I'll tell them "Do you realize you're falling in love with me?" and I'll tell them exactly how I knew. Later, for example when a 18 month relationship ended it went like this: "Do you think it's time to end it?" She paused. "I'll take that a yes". When men act like they were surprised by a breakup they weren't paying attention. She started checking out months prior.

Yes, the girl I loved the first lmfao, met her about 10 years ago and was caught up for roughly 6-7 years. I was so caught up with her even without making out. After arriving at her place for a few days her attitude towards me was unacceptable and I asked to her to take my back to the airport..
