hair gel which brand

currently i dont use much gel b/c my hair just is standing up even when i wake up. i have l.a. looks and dep gel but those are not good hair gels. Anyone can recommend me some good ones? Garnier is good i hear.

Something I found a few months ago is VO5's new stuff.

I've tried one tha was like a wax and gel combo and the other was ike a wax/pomade type combo. I liked one better than the other (not sure of their exact names). It is in fact the best hair product I've used, including high end salon stuff.

Fructis... the mango flavour one. Your hair smells amazing and it's the best gel I've ever used, although at 3 or 4 quid a tub it isn't cheap. Worth it though.

What up guys, I use Tresseme brand. Like it since I have fine curly hair. Any other stuff makes my hair frizz like nobody's business after a few hours..

since we're are talking about gel i have a question to ask..

But before that, if your hair is long and thick and you want it standing up, i recomend you use a wax/pomeade stuff, other than that Ice does the job well too.

My question, I've a friend whose hair is thin...knowing that gel sticks your hairs together and therefor would make his head look even balder, what type of hair product would be good for him, if he wants the spikey look too.

He might try American Crew Fiber, which is on the waxy side of things. It seems to thicken rather than clump.

I've see it nearly everywhere in the US (Target, Walmart, grocery stores, drug stores, hair salons). You can search for it online, too:

"American Crew Fiber Pliable Molding Creme For Men 3.53 Oz."

It's a squat cylindrical container with a dark blue label.

Depp Sport. I've tried a dozen different gels and this one is the best mix between price and preformace IMO. Its holds great without being sticky, and it lasts all day. The container itself is a good design and doesn't take up much space.

The scent isn't obtrusive, and it just works.

I don't use gel, I use normal nivea hair wax. My hair is very thick and if I don't put gel on or if I don't wet my hair and then put on wax my hair looks like I just dried it with a blow drier, you know, not good.

hmmm... maybe depends on just how "thinning" it is... is it all falling out and he's in denial? If so, there's no hair product that will hold in place what he's got left.

but if it's just a bit of thin, wax & similar products like Fiber don't emphasize the thinness by making the hair that's left clump.

...actualy the way i see it he usualy plays it off well, but gel seems to make his hairs stick together...
