"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

guys who use makeup

Would any women date a guy who uses makeup? I am not talking about super makeup where he looks like a woman. I'm talking about the guys who use makeup or things like concealer to cover up marks.

I'm a guy that uses makeup but I don't use a lot of it. I had acne a few years ago and it left a lot of red marks on my face and it is extremely noticeable. I cannot go outside without wearing makeup because i look like a disaster with red marks that look like pimples, though its really old acne marks.

My buddy last time with his friend whos a female told my friend he has real good skin. Of course he tells her i use makeup and all. I do use makeup but i just try to conceal those spots on my face. I know its not manly but i just have a lot of these red marks and I am currently trying to get rid of them.

So my question to most of the women is would you even get involved with a guy who uses makeup? Like for instance, he looks good to you and you are attracted to him BUT he has a lot of marks when he doesn't have makeup on. It does suck for me because most people think that's how i look but I don't want to tell them later on this isn't how i really look... I have makeup on.

I just find it frustrating if i talk to someone and things clicked. But in the back of my mind, I feel like I am lying to her or anyone else because of this.

Would women who find a guy attractive but then he later told you he uses makeup be a real turnoff to you if you were really attracted to him and then he tells you this? I don't think I am metrosexual but I just have WAY TOO MANY red marks that it is very unsightly.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I do the same thing with acne but i've never thought much about it or worried. Why do you even have to reveal the fact to them? And if you make it seem like you care or worry about it then thats gonna have a negative effect on them. If it comes up don't worry about it act like its not a big deal and you don't care.

hey mpimpin, i use to have acne about 3 years ago when I was 18. My acne has calmed down a lot but those red marks left from acne does make me feel bad. The thing is when I see most guys, they either have good skin or bad skin. Almost none of them wear makeup or concealer. I just felt like I am lying to people.

I know almost all attractive women wear makeup so that isn't a problem. We guys know that that's not how they look natural. I assume all women feel that the guy doesn't wear anything which is why it bugs me real much.

very interesting. I thought most males on this forum will start bashing me for using makeup.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

don't make a big deal, and don't tell everyone. if someone asks, tell them you "sometimes" cover them. but don't use the word make-up. if needed, tell them that it's a medical thing (which is the truth).

I wear a hairpiece, who cares?

I also happen to wear a concealer on the sides (which is basically makeup) because the hair there is very thin and it lets it all blend in and look like my real hair. Who cares?

Only small minded, ignorant, insecure people care. More power to ya.

i mean i feel good about myself and confident when i have makeup on. When i dont have it on, i feel like crap. Yea i get what you people mean.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Yo warrior, in my honest opinion i wouldn't worry about it. I'm currently 14 and I,too, have red marks from spots and I, too, use concealer. I try look as good as i possibly can, isn't it true that a DJ should make the best of what he's got, appearance wise?

Look at all these looks vs. personality threads, you'll notice most people say do the best with what you've got, and try look your best, which is what your trying to do. Theres nothing wrong with that, it doesn't lesser you as a man.

Why should the rules be different for women, who choose to paint their faces with red and purples, while you are just subtly covering up some spots using a bit of concealer.

So i don't see why a woman wouldn't get with you mate.

Hey, if the barn door needs painting, paint it.

(I'd suggest to stay natural and light....unless your trying to pull of the pirate/depp look.)

I don't see why it should be such a big deal. If you don't make a big deal of it, anyone who makes fun of you for it will just look stupid.

What has this forum become, with guys asking girls whether they should wear make up. I mean who the hell cares, the point of this forum is to develop the inner self. The more you think how you look on the outside, whether you're an ugly son of a b1tch or a sexy mofo, the more you turn insecure. You are your habits and beliefs. Think you are the sexiest motherfvcker there is on this planet and you will become, you are invincible with the right mindset.

As long as you are not using it to be cute - like a homo!!

You are covering scarred remains - this is what make-up should be used for!!

Hors use make-up as if it betters their condition, in reality it makes them look like shyt!!

The thing that bothered me also was that i dont have just a couple of red marks. I have a lot. If i just had 3 or 4 redmarks, i wouldn't even care about covering it. I have maybe about 15 or so at least and it doesn't look good when i look at myself in the mirror.

Of course i am not doing it to look cute. Just diong it to make myself feel better of myself.

Then Definetely keep doing it. Do what makes you feel good and confident thats the most important thing. I also feel very conscious about myself when I'm fully exposed. But when I fix the problem with some concealer I'm one of the most confident people you'll ever meet. I don't just have a few spots either I probably have a handful or two on my forehead and chin. I'm only 18 though and hoping that it eventually gets better.

Oh I forgot to add that my dermatoligist even recommended using concealer as long as it was oil free. You can even find some that are medicinal and can help heal acne and red marks

There is only one thing that I would be concerned about: hiding the fact that you wear makeup if you happen to get in a LTR.

If you happen to meet a woman you want to spend a significant amount of time with, you should be straight up with her about this early in the relationship. Face it, that stuff isn't gonna stay on while you're sleeping in the same bed as her. It might not go over too well if she wakes up next to a guy who looks way different and discovers makeup stains on her pillowcase.

If you're comfortable enough to wear makeup out in public, you should be comfortable with the fact that you're not going to hide your "imperfections" from someone forever.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
