No, really, it doesn't matter. I've been in several small bands. It might help you in terms of exposure to chicks (if you play their kind of music) but it won't help if you got no game.

3. Bass guitarist (girls can't notice if you screw up or play well, if you are hot they will notice you however)
5. Drummer (hides in the back - gets groupies.)
6. Keyboardist (doesn't get laid)
I honestly don't know where the girls come from when you are in a band. It think it is because your circle of friends at least triples and you are always meeting new people. As a result you meet more girls who are allready impressed with you for just being in a band.
So if you want girls just take a lesson from that.
1. Increase your circle of frends
2. Become more social
3. Display your talents in such a way that it sets you appart from other guys.
