I think it's a great idea. Why the fvck should the women get to have all the fun? An excuse to hold an all-man party with no whiny, b1tchy women around can't possibly be a bad thing...
Just because a wedding shower consists of a woman getting 'showered' with dildos, panties, condoms, and appliances she'll never use, it doesn't mean the man is going to get showered with the same things. Getting new power tools, having a good round of bowling, and getting tanked sounds like a great fvcking way to throw a party!

You need a wedding as an excuse to throw a man-party (however legitimate or illegitimate it is, that's not the issue). THAT is what is so pussified about it. Not the content (the party, tool exchange, beers, etc.), but the context (i.e. this type of party is allowed and encourage ONLY if the guy is getting married).

IMO, marriage only becomes 'pvssified' if the man hands his pants, his balls, and his brain over to the woman. There's nothing in this 'Man Shower' that indicates that he's going to do such things. In fact, it suggests the opposite.

Great idea, provided the "shower" consists of cases of Jack Daniels, strippers shipped in from the orient followed up by an afternoon at the pistol range the following day. Don't laugh, I went to a bach party yrs ago that had all these elements.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Men don't get enough opportunites like this. If anything it's the opposite; the wife "doesn't allow" him to hang with the boys. Way back when the men went off to hunt and got their "man time" because they HAD to. Nowadays they are kept under lock and key.
I truly feel bad for a lot of men who are in relationships.
