I have no doubt people seen some stuff there. But let's be real here, alien space craft?

Let's talk about aircraft. F-22 is generation 5 aircraft. It is stealth (meaning reduced radar signature, Russia have radar capable of detecting it), and it can cruise at super snotic speed, and it has super manuverability, i.e. thrust vectoring. SU-35 and MIG-35 are generation 4++ aircraft, instead of being shaped like gen 5 aircraft they have paint which absorbs radar waves.

Generation 6 aircraft, as per Russian definition, can 1) travel to near space, 2) be stealth, 3) have hyper sonic speed (6k miles per hours or more), 4) experience extreme Gs (unmanned craft).

Thus, keeping it real, triangular shaped objects with extreme manuverability seen over Area 51, are most likely experimental aircraft of 6th generation. Their speed and extreme manuverability requires some sort of radically new propulsion system or radically lightweight and strong materials.

@Atom Smasher nice story, and I have no doubt in your honesty at all. But with UFOs it's always a story someone else tells. I never seen one.

I'm getting old, and after a certain age you just realize if sounds like BS it's probably is BS.

You saw something long distance away. 16 km is a long distance, depending on your altitude, it is almost the line of horizon. People see cities at the line of horizon from time to time. Call it an optical illussion and be done.
