Out of all the 10+ years I have been doing my grocery shopping, only one really materialized. There was this woman who looked Latina but was actually light-skinned. She kept crossing paths with me, either intentionally or just by chance. She gave me a big smile and was bubbly and happy even before we talked. I threw a little game her way and things progressed from there.
Another instance, a young cashier made a direct pass at me once, though I declined because she said something that turned me off and I just wasn’t attracted to her.
I go to do my grocery shopping though and I don’t spam approach. I also live in the suburbs and I go to two grocery stores: one within walking distance from my house where I grab things quickly when I need them, and a more expensive one where I do my main shopping once every week or two. The higher end one people are more receptive, and time of day and season are key.
