"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hello,

You may call me gripped and I am, at least for a short time, the new kid on the block. Well I don't think of myself as a kid but rather currently inexperienced at life (I am 17 in fact). I say new to the block however I have been a silent onlooker since January and I have to say this is not what I thought it was on first sight (a hormone fueled sex tactics discussion) but instead a much more noble pursuit. This strife for self improvement shows people waking up and grabbing life by the figurative balls and I too am sick and dissatisfied of my current situation. The forum is a fantastic for people to learn, teach and improve so I'm now excited about joining discussion. There is innovation and discovery here something I imagine not too common for young adults as we do not normally have the knowledge to be at the forefront of something. (excuse the cheesiness)

Gripped by desperation

So here is my story...

I used to be an *******. This was and still can be from time to time down to my deep insecurities which I am trying my best to evacuate from my system. I was always okay with girls down to the ****y outward persona but my insecurities have always let me down. I've had one girlfriend, we had sex but I was a behaving like a ***** for a lot of it and drove the relationship into the ground. I'm a good looking guy (more of a pretty boy than handsome) and I consider myself smart. The problem I have is I am often intimidated by attractive women and the more popular students which has largely been my downfall and I can turn into a needy sap quite quickly from a charismatic charmer. I started looking at pick up when I met this girl who was into me and was in fact insanely hot but I realized this was certainly more for me. unfortunately I shat myself at the chance of succeeding and just kept thinking why would SHE be into ME. I got a bit creepy scared her off and then kept thinking abour her for months, I since diagnosed myself with oneitis.

I'll stop ranting here and tell you my problem-

I have oneitis and have had for several months for a chick I've not seen in months and who I hardly know.
I go to a unisex school so my ties to the opposite sex are limited.
I'm finding it hard to form bonds with anyone who gets to have all the fun.
I like my friends I'm just sick of being a bit of a loser.

So what I'm looking for is ideas on how to meet more women my age or form good relationships with the guys who do. Oh and how do I cure the oneitis?

Seriously any input would be much appreciated, I will try my best to help others on the forum.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Figurative balls.

It would be nice to know exactly how much you've been reading, so I can tell you what I think you should read.

Moreover, apply some self improvement to your own life.

Oh and talk to and hit on other girls. Proactively hang out with more people.

I've been reading a lot from your high school game site, havent read any all summer though. I'm literally reading 'Are You Ready To Make That Choice That Could Change Your Life Forever?' right now. Also I've read conquer your campus and the stuff by Joker. I hate the idea of scripted **** so I stay clear of that.

to cure onitis you need to talk to many different girls.

As far as trying to be really popular...Make some friends that are on your level. You'll be surprised, in high school most people party or at least do things socially after school. Just make some friends, even if they aren't super popular.

As for improvement, this is the best time for you. Start working out, do well in school so that you can get into a good enough university, and stop masturbating.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

I'd read Pook's reiteration of what Anti-Dump's strategy was.

It's called "Anti-Dump's Machine", and it's about 7 parts long, I think.

You can find it on the DJ Bible site near the bottom.

Thanks,
I have never previously considered organisation as such an important trait since you have mentioned it has seemed more and more necessary. I think organisation is a solid backbone for your other two principles and allows one to be in control of their own life. My only gripe with this is that through my own anecdotal experience I know others with great work ethic, organisation and awareness who show great success academically but collapse brutally in other areas and come off needy. However this may be down to conflicting definitions of the word "awareness".

and to sneevox thanks for the advice, I'm looking for it now. :)

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

However this may be down to conflicting definitions of the word "awareness". Exactly. Awareness not only refers to the intimate knowledge of those around you, but also of yourself. An example of social situations would be: I am aware of my own confidence, and my strengths and weaknesses. I am also aware of social situations and the social rules that bind everyone together. I have a work ethic and am motivated to improve myself. Though, I am a busy man. It is a good thing then that I have organization to schedule my time, working on my faults 3 times a week consistently with the knowledge to know when I am improving and when i'm not.

and to sneevox thanks for the advice, I'm looking for it now. :)
