Anything worth doing will most likely piss someone off. A person who dies with no enemies can only have led a boring and pointless life
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Very true... This ties into the whole "nice guys finish last" thing too.

Enemies are a by-product, not the aim... Many great men are attended by many people who cherish and miss him, not by a thousand people spitting on his grave. Going for a life worth living will get many enemies, but also allies will be made on the way too, I would even say more than enemies.

I agree. ENVY is probably the #1 reason why people are disliked.

Anyone who has money and/or has a nice car, good looks, an attractive g/f, wife WILL ALWAYS be hated by some either a stranger, acquaintance or family member.

However, most haters have low self esteem and don't like themselves.

A guy who likes himself could probably careless if Joe Schmo drives a Porsche or has a trophy wife. It is the guys with low-self esteem that cause all of the problems.
