"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

hey guys, how ya doin. 2 days ago i followed my wednesday routine (biceps + triceps), but i didn't manage to train my triceps cuz it was late. so i trained them yesterday. unfortunately it started to rain before i could begin my training and, since i'm not allowed to bring heavy dumbells into home (not to crash the floor with them), i could train just with a pair of 20lbs (maybe less, just 8 kgs each) dumbells. i did lots of repetition (50 triceps extension with one hand, 30 alternated, plus 40 pushups). i went to bed feeling the muscles (both biceps by the day before and triceps) quite sore, but nothing to worry about. this morning, i found it almost impossible to get up, since my right arm was immobilized and my left one was really in pain.
i went to school without letting my mother know (she would get all worried and stuff) and i put some ice on the right arm for all the morning. now it's quite better and i can move it without feeling pain. tho, it's quite painful to touch the shoulder and REALLLY painful to extend the arm completely (i think it's not difficult, it's impossible since it hurts bad).

what do u think that it can be? i'm for sure not going to train today, neither tomorrow (i never work out on saturdays)... should i work out sunday, if i'm not in pain?

i know this thread is quite confused and confusing, so ask for clarifications, but please answer. i don't wanna go to the hospital, since i don't think it's bad enough to make my mother worry and to have a trip to the H.

answer soon

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Did you use good form on your excercises? Go online and make sure you did. Google it.

My personal trainer gave me a great wee bit of advice when I was training for my first 10 km race.

If it hurts, STOP.

Pain is your body's warning system of telling you something is WRONG, dammit. But I'd forego the hospital visit. They're just going to write you a scrip for Tylenol 3's or something which may reduce the pain but it'll make you constipated.

Trust me on this: Speaking as one who's blown their shoulder out, if it's a choice between constipation and shoulder pain, I'd take shoulder pain anyday.
