if you recognize this as her voice, or recognize the name she gives, then you now know her name.

when speaking line 2, you could act like you dont recognize her voice, or you are not sure you have the right person.

if you need to give an explanation, you could be like "oh cool i thought i might have gotten your roomate or something."
OR "oh i didnt recognize your voice over the phone, it sounded different."
it is better for her to think you didnt recognize her voice then to think you forgot her name.

There is a small chance she will see through it if you dont sound genuine, so be aware of that.

just make up a name, the more absurd the better.

"is this Gertrude?" /
"is this Mei Linn CHin Wong DOng?"


if she says no, its ____, then she might even not realize you forgot. or at the very least, you made a joke out of forgetting. and you took it in stride.
