"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

background on this girl: http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2127238&postcount=12

Waited like a week and then started texting her this:

Me: We need to talk. This isn't working out.
Her: What's not?
Me: Our relationship. You're too needy.
Her: Haha. I know i'm such a diva.
Me: That's the problem. You thinnk you're a diva. But you're not babe...I need some space.
Her: Okay fine. Break my heart.
Me: It's okay, you can just be a friend from now on. I do ask that you try to keep your hands off me from now on.
Her: Lol? Okay jokes over

honesty, im puuzzled by this. I mean this isnt my best game i'm spitting, but i thought it was entertaining, and most girls take this roleplay much farther, even if i've hardly met them.

Here's what i get out of this response: She texted back so her interest level is high enough to where she didn't just ignore me, which she very well could have. I almost want to take this as an IOI. However, it seems like a power grab, sh*t test. My statement wasn't blatantly sexual, and i diddnt think the roleplay was getting stale. She was texting me back like the minute after for the first few texts, while i waited at least twice as long to get back to her each time.

Maybe something like "Joke's over when I say it's over." or "I'm Serious." ?

Kinds stumped here guys, help me interpret it. Shes a cute sorority girl and probably very easy. I dont want to play into her game and switch the topic, but that's kind of what she's hinting at. To me, this possibly says "I want to keep talking to you, but let's move on from this roleplay."

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

It wasn't a sh!t test, it was a boring text conversation. That's why I tell you guys "texting KILLS relationships" - because most of you don't realize that the only time you should be using the phone is to GET THE DATE. That's IT. You don't flirt, you don't try to be witty, you don't have long conversations with girls on the phone - you simply hit them up and get the DATE. Save all the flirting, witty convos, etc. for when you're actually on a DATE with her.

And - AND - aside from being boring, you came of as partially insulting. "You think you're a diva?" "You're too needy?" I know you're only joking, but she hasn't had enough time in with you to where she would find this kind of conversation amusing - instead, she could easily take it as you trying too hard to sound like a jerk, which reads as "no bueno."

Anyway... stop analyzing her response and do what you should have done in the first place: hit her up for a DATE. Not a "let's hang out," not a "my friend's throwing this party, you should come" (yes, I read your previous post); CALL her and ask her out for some activity. Her response to THAT will tell you all you need to know. Hope this helps!

I think you nailed it. When she said,"Ok,joke's over",you interpetted it as her saying,"I want to keep talking to you, but let's move on from this roleplay.".

That sounds about right.

It seems that you drag your game out a bit too long. The chick knows that you're being playful, and they seem cool participating in it with you,but when it goes on too long, they're like,"Ok...that's enough....let's be serious now".

You said,
I dont want to play into her game and switch the topic, but that's kind of what she's hinting at.

To me,she doesn't have any "game" for you to play into,it's just that your "act" is starting to wear thin. That ain't a sh1t-test. She IS interested in you, she's just ready for you to move on to the NEXT PHASE of "game"....which should be you trying to set up a date.

You seem to have a pre-set script in your mind, with answers ALREADY PREPARED AND LINED UP for the responses you hope the women give....

Like in the link you posted, you told the chick you were "half-black" and you were expecting her to say "Which half?" cause you have a reply ready......but she didn't. And now,the same thing happened here.....you were expecting her to continue on with the line you started, but her "Ok,joke's over" response "puzzled you".

There's nothing wrong with having pre-set lines,I used to do that too....but you're drawing the script out too long. And when you don't get the anticipated response to a line,it throws you off base. This isn't a sh1t-test from her,it's a bit of annoyance cause you're drawing out the "attract" phase too long.

I think she likes you,but you need to eventually move on to the "get to know you"...."going out on a date" phase of game.

Yea you guys make a lot of sense. However one problem i've had in the past is pushing for the date too quickly after not building any level of comfort through text.

Should i just come right out and say "Let's grab coffee later this week. When are you free?"

Or should i try for a public meetup like "hey i'm going to this party friday, you should bring friends and come." That's a little less forward and "date-like", but in college girls have all these different plans and everyone is bouncing to all these different places and you never end up meeting up with them when you throw this out there.

You guys gotta stop playing with these phones and sending these texts. Listen to Harry.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I'm very glad all of these senior members are coming out to give this great advice. I get so sick of all these people who have like 5 posts on the forum giving really bad advice out....you guys are great.

UPDATE: Haha you were totally right. I texted her "Let's grab coffee later this week. When are you free?"

She texts back about 20 seconds later: "Thursday"

I'll tell you a short story:

One time (one of many times this has happened, btw), I went to a Halloween party. I spotted a cute girl there and wanted to get to know her. So, after an hour of making sure she saw me talking to everyone there plus dancing and having a good time, I managed to sit next to her during a dance break and have a conversation for 10 minutes. During that 10 minutes, I managed to have her laughing, get her to sit on my lap, give me her number, and kiss her on the lips before leaving the party.

4 days later, I hit her up and asked her out on a date. And she said yes. 4 dates later, we hooked up.

What's the point of this story? YOU DON'T NEED TO TALK WITH A GIRL A LOOOOONG TIME TO GET HER TO GO OUT WITH YOU.

If she's allowing any kind of conversation to go on, she's already showing interest, and if she's given you the number it means you've built up enough interest for her to want future contact with you. So don't be fooled into thinking you need to constantly text/message/talk on the phone with her to make her feel comfortable - if she gave you the number, she's comfortable enough to at least give you a shot. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, P.S. - you're in college, so this note especially goes for you: party dates are a HUGE mistake until she becomes the girlfriend. Too many blockers, plus she needs to get to REALLY know you before you start introducing her to others.

Yea i'm starting to realize that. I actually threw out the idea of meeting up with that tinder date that bailed on me cause she was sick and i'm also meeting up with her thursday at a different time (one at 4pm, one at 8pm)

If i meet either of these girls at the coffee shop (i'm meeting this library girl at the coffee shop, i might try to get tinder girl to just come to my place for a drink or whatever insteead of coffee first), should i push for them to hangout at my place and push for the lay/fooling around?

Or have a little more patience and go for a seperate day two at my place for a movie or whatever? The coffee shop is RIGHT by my place, like a 2 min walk.

Not necessarily true. it could be feigned interest but in the back of her mind, she's wishing this loser would get lost.

If this were a convo in person you might be right, but if she's continuing to text you that's completely different. It's very standard for chicks to simply stop texting if they're losing interest. Lord knows it's happened to me (and probably most of us) dozens of times.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I'm stumped at what you are doing. This is not sexy game that will make her rip off her clothes and give in to her basic instincts, this is like you are bored and have nothing to do and are telling her as much. :(

Texting should just be to:
- Meet up
- Get info

More than that it can be interpreted 872 ways, and 871 of those ways will not be in your favor.

I wasn't talking about your convo. I was talking about in general about in person conversations and text conversations. I've had that happened to me before. Thankfully, I'm not socially retarded so I can tell a girl's interest level in person or over text and I know when to eject.

The girl in your post seems interested. Just approach the date with the mindset of her possibly flaking so if she does flake, you aren't phased at all.

...which is why i'm posting my convo's on this forum, getting feedback from members who have more experience, and implementing these changes into my game.

After being flaked on numerous times, i have this exact mindset. If i make dates with two girls, i pretty much plan on one of them flaking (if not both). thats just the way it goes. i give them one more chance to meet up and if they flake twice, i move on.

i didn't see a sh*t test here. just some game that actually made me feel uncomfortable reading it.

and then you wanted to be like "its not over until i say its over" LMAO... that would have went over great. although not as much fun as how "i'm serious" would have went over. because then she would have just said "ok".

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
