Good online personal sites?

I keep hearing that personals are great places to meet women, but in a few months I'll be in the military and I don't want any "find your true love" stuff like eharmony, nor do I want to go to those porn sites masked as "hookup" sites.

I've had "nibbles", I mean I've gotten naked pictures sent, by 18 year old virgins who are "really shy" and want to meet at hotels. Next!

So where are good places for meeting normal people? I don't trust those hookup sites, with faceless "naked" shots, and give some BS like "My OTHER name is at this site, which you have to pay for".

Where should I go, I just want to meet a few women, and enjoy my last months of civilian life.

Well if you want to enjoy your last months of civilian life I would recommend getting out a bit and not even touching these websites. Think about it, you may have internet and tv in iraq, but you sure as hell won't have near as many women (english speaking at least) to mingle with.

As for sites when you get to iraq, I don't see why myspace wouldn't be a good choice. I can't believe I'm saying that because I hate myspace, but if you are in a far off country you are most likely going to want some interaction with women. My buddy came back 2 months ago and still hasn't gotten out of his funk from not talking to women for a year.

If you're a doctor or look like a handsome actor they are. Otherwise if you're not successful at gaming in real life you're going to do much worse online.
