"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

There is this girl (I'll call her Lisa) at my job that I had a crush on for a while, but convinced myself that she wanted nothing to do with me bc every time I tried to flirt with her I got absolutely nothing back. Eventually I just gave up and moved on, until one night at a party (at her house) while hooking up with one of her friends I got the "I can't do this...bc Lisa has the biggest crush on you and she'll kill me." I thought it was bs at the time and tried to call her on it, but she insisted and said that Lisa is just really shy with guys that she really likes.

So a few weeks go by, and I run into Lisa again and flirt with her a little. This time she was all smiley and game so I asked her out...date went extremely well, and we totally hit it off. About half way through the date she invites me to a party the following week, which I assumed was our second date. At the end of the night we go back to her place, drink some wine, and then we make out. After I stroked her inner thigh I got hand checked, and she says "what type of first date would I be?" This is typical, not surprising and understandable, so I call it a night and tell her I'll talk to her later in the week.

I didn't actually call her or talk to her until I met her at the party about a week and a half later, but when I got there she was really happy to see me. This is where all the fun begins...during the party I started to pick up on subtle gaming, which honestly surprised me because she totally did not strike me as that type of girl. I know its stupid but I really thought she was a "good girl" and very straight up; after all that's how she carried herself the entire first date. Frankly, I don't really care when girls game, but its when they successfully pass themselves off as non-gaming girls and then game that throws me off. I digress. At the party she started doing stuff like suddenly not being interested and talking to other people. I noticed that she only did this after a particularly long girl-talk session in the corner of the room.

I figured I was dealing with amateurs, so I got up and made the rounds, which wasn't hard because chicks way outnumbered dudes at this place. When I came back, we'd start rapping again, and then she'd do it again mid-conversation. And like I did before, I would casually walk away and start talking to other girls. The second time I almost left with another chick, but decided that because I actually like Lisa I'd go back and see what was up. This time she literally grabbed a hold of me and said she wanted to leave. I should note that at this point we are both pretty much wasted. The whole walk home (and yes, it was a long walk) we stopped to make out, and by the time we got to her place it was on.

This is where the trouble starts...I don't remember everything exactly, but we basically f-ed our brains out. I left a few hours later while she was still sleeping, but couldn't help but feel sorry for her, cause I knew she was gonna wake up with a killer hangover, so I left her a text message for her when she woke up ala "you make cute faces when you sleep", you know something to make her smile, whatever. The next day, I sent her an email saying simply "Hey, whats up?" and have yet to get a response. So my question(s) is...

Does she think I think she's a slut, and upset that she got wasted and lost control? or

Is she actually a slut, and just wanted sex that night? and lastly,

If it is the former, is there anything I can do to fix that?

I'm really split on this one because evidence points to both, and although I don't really care either way, I have to admit I'd be pretty disappointed if a potentially good thing got destroyed bc we got too drunk one night and I f-ed her like a hor.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

why why why would you skulk away in the morning if you wanted something more than a ons? She wakes up and you've already split. That just screams "it was a one off thing!" At the very least stay and have breakfast and then head off.

You can still go out with her if she is into you. I'd wait till the next time you see her though. You've started it off on an extremely casual level (heading off while she's sleeping) so hooking up when you see her and then getting more serious if you want to would be the way to go.

Sorry to say, but ALL girls have a slutty side, so that means all girls are sluts. It will probably just be a one night stand. You shouldn't pay her any attention anymore, and IF she wants more, which is a big IF, she will let you know. When women are interested, they have no problem letting a guy know. It's so obvious everytime.

I knew she was a hor at this juncture based on her word choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "First date"?????? Why not "woman"??????????

She is a hor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why are you bastards feeling guilty for a hor's hordom???? STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!! The hor should feel guilt and shame - not the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is a hor and you are merely the next pimp in line - and "No' , it has shyt to do with alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So an update. She got back to me eventually and wrote a long-ass email explaining how drunk she was, and how she hadn't been that drunk in a long time and how she doesn't remember anything, blah, blah, blah, but "how are you?"

I showed it to a girl friend of mine, who despite being a chick is usually pretty on point with girl advice. She told me that she was embarrassed and wanted to kind of forget that it happened, and start a clean slate, but that she likes me or she wouldn't have written the email. I wrote her back and told her that I'd like to hang out again, "how about a movie this weekend?" She said that she was having a really busy weekend, but if I was down for Sunday to let her know. I call her Saturday evening to confirm what time I'd pick her up, but when I call her the next day, no answer. So she flakes, which I completely did not see coming.

I guess my question now is, what kind of test is this?

I know the best thing to do is to break off contact, but at the same time if she suspects that I just wanted sex, then wouldn't icing her out only give her that confirmation? Thoughts, please.

P.S. It is inevitable that I will see her at work at some point, but do I still play nice even though she wasted my time?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You didn't see the flake coming? lol..I sure did! She is not interested man. Get over it!!! You just sound like a crazy stalker now. Also, it's not a fvcking test. A girl has to actually be interested for it to be a test! lol

You should just not pay any attention to her at work at all unless she speaks to you and then keep it moving with short answers like, "yes", "no", ect.

dude, when a girl flakes it is NOT a test. it's pure disinterest a girl that liked you would jump at the chance to spend time with you, they woudnt bother with some gay ass flaking test.

she doesnt like you. she was just in it for sex and from what i here she's an undercover attention wh0re. she rakes in guys like you, teases them with attention , has sex with them, then boom, it's like she never knew you. give up on this chick.

find a girl that's actually worth your time.

Yea, that's what I started thinking. I just figured that if she wasn't interested she would have come up with an excuse, or not written back. But saying yea, and then flaking pisses me off.

No, she is not a good girl.

Any girl who gets drunk at a bar and fycks on the first date is a ho. Period.

You were just another chump who was next in line.

Always observe action or what a girl does and not what she says or does not say and then you can truly judge a girls character or lack thereof.

She has interest in you - hors always blame alcohol and never themselves!!!! On the next encounter do not include alcoholic beverages and see how she responds to your romantic advances!
