Good audio computer program

I want to create music and beats like my hero DJ Tiesto. I am a total audiophile. I would liek to eventually move into a career doing such things.

Anything I can pirate? I'd prefer not to spend money I don't have.

Reason and Acid pro and some sample packs are the fundamentals to make tracks. I think you should stick to these until you get familair and then you can branch of to other mediums to make everything sound professional. If you want to get serious about it then purchase a keyboard/synthesizer for melodic trance waves.

My best friend is a music producer, and the only two programs he uses are Acid Pro and CueBase

Im still stuck with FL but I do wanna get Cubase when I upgrade my computer. If I had unlimited money tho, I would get Samplitude. It's the best.

Make it easy on yourself and take a computer music class... Unless you have the focus of a fighter pilot, you're going to find it VERY tough to get into a program such as Fruity Loops.
