"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Why not? At least it will give me a chance to chat with other people, even if it is via computer. Should be good practice. Other people seem to do it so why not give it a whirl. Just to see what (if anything) happens.

Also just moved into a new home in a different location and don't know where much is and still have to rely on the busses. I hope to change that soon.

Im about to finish up my profile. I will post updates here

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'd definitely do it. I tried it for a month and had some decent success with it. I met 3 girls offline and actually have ended up spending the night with all of them (imagine that). Be aware though, not all the girls are going to look as good in person as they do on the site. One of the girls I met looked GORGEOUS on the site but wasn't quite so much in person. I cancelled it after a month though, because I didn't see any real connection with anyone I met on there. But if you're new to an area, it would be more than worth it to give it a try.

Another thing I've tried is Myspace. It's free, and there are thousands of girls to chat up in your area on there. Success rate isn't exactly great, but once in awhile you'll meet up with a cute gal. For the effort you put forth (zero) the payoff is pretty good.

One thing I've noticed is that online, is that there isn't really any "approach anxiety" which is what I think keeps most guys (it's happened to everyone, myself included) from talking to girls. It's kind of strange, because you realize that there really isn't any risk in chatting up a girl and having her be in a relationship or just plain uninterested. You just move on. Which, interestingly, should be your mindset in actual life situations. Cool, huh?

I need to start getting out more too. Need to stop thinking about doing it and just effin do it. Use work as a tool to chat with people, the customers.

This is another reason for trying this yahoo personals. Just to chat to people to gain social skills. Im waiting for them to okay my profile before I do anything.

The thing I like about the personals site is that all the women are single and looking. Whereas in public, a lot of women are either with boyfriends or have boyfriends already. But then again, even if they have a boyfriend, you've only wasted 2 minutes of your time finding out. Approaching women is can really be a nervous, anxious thing but you have to do it.

Why go to a dating site is all you want to do is chat with people via the computer?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I haven't had any luck at all with Yahoo personals. There aren't many women on there in my area that I'm attracted to, and the ones that I contact don't contact me back. What's the point in having a profile up on a dating site if you're not going to respond to people? It makes no sense. Even if they're not interested, the least they can do is respond and say so.

Do you have any idea how many emails these women get, especially if they have a picture in their profile? Better yet, do you have any idea how many guys continue to hound the women who do let them know that they aren't interested? Besides what does a written "not interested" do for you?

Be sure to ask women out and go on real dates rather than just chat on the net.

I don't think that chatting online or typing on the internet really does anything for you if you have approach anxiety, unless you are WAY WAY shy and even have anxiety approaching women online.

To get over approaching women in real life there is nothing like just going out and doing it. I remember the first time I actually cold approached, I'd say it was 6-8 months ago. I failed, of course. But it did a lot for me, and after you do it over and over, not only does it become easier, you learn how to hold conversations. That's where I am now. I can walk up to girls and engage in conversations. I just need to learn how to close. A buddy of mine said he had the problem, and now he just throws it out there, he just does it. Not to say I'm fearless, if a few hotties are dancing by themselves with a bunch of people watching them, I'd have a hard time approaching that but then again I hate anything to do with dancing or night clubs.

I'd say if you're in a new area and want to work on your social skills, try to meet people in real life. I haven't had much success online. I am talking to a handful of girls right now online, and just started with another I'd actually want to go on a date with. I just have little luck when it comes to online dating. Most of the time they don't respond. Or they are fugly. Every once in a while an OK to cute responds. The hot chicks don't respond.

I also know a few women who have "boyfriends" one even lives with her "boyfriend" but she tells me she's going to this party because she likes this guy and she thinks he's flirting with her. I'm sure she's looking for options. She told me her boyfriend's not really working out for her. I also met a girl at a bar with friends and was chatting her up and not to far into the convo she told me she had a boyfriend, but not long after she was telling me how things weren't going well, she doesn't know what will happen, etc.

Yeah whatever happened to your plans to go out and practice gaming girls at the malls?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It's not a bad idea. My sister just got married last weekend to a guy she met on Yahoo personals. He's a real nice, stable, decent-looking guy, and she's on the same par. I say so long as chatting up girls on the web isn't your ONLY method of meeting girls, then there's no reason at all not to do it.

Just don't let it be a crutch!

Yahoo is okay. I hooked up with a few girls on it. IME the "dog" factor seems high on there, but there are quality girls nonetheless.

Just a tip, don't be one of the guys who sends out mass emails. Be selective about who you message. Personally I only message girls if something in their profile stands out and I can identify with it without trying to hard.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
