"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

This 20 year old chick has been coming to my job recently, cute face, decent body, great personality. Now I have helped me out with her items everytime she has come in to build up some rapport. Now I found out she has a three month old kid and for some reason that did not bother me. Im 18 and my first friend is going to have a baby,so this whole young mother ordeal is new to me. Needless to say I can tell she has an interest in me and vica versa,so I asked for her number and got it. Now this is how I know I have it made we were talking and she says, "Hey so you know my good friend X",which means she did some research on me. She has never mentioned the father or boyfriend of any kind to me,good sign. She gave me the kidding "I guess you can call me",cause she knew it was coming.

Are there any pros/cons to dating younger moms?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

No problem unless you like being the substitute dad, I guess.

Single mothers tend to get attracted to guys a whole hell of a lot easier than non-mothers, sorry to break it to ya. The insecurity of NOT having that support is too much for many a single mother. Some people could say that they 'lower their standards' now... tendencies is that they look for the next nice guy who could support them and not run away like their last 'man'. Even if that means that that next nice guy isn't really a sexual turn-on.

DAMN brotha, you're young. Pullin' one of :flowers: these would be your subtle marriage proposal. Stay away if you're just there to hit it... she'll stalk you all the more. Play the field more.

I am replying to this for you as someone who just recently was "dating" a young mother as well, a 24 yr. old with a 17 month old son. I don't want this to come across wrong in what I say, but as I thought about it I couldn't really come up with any "pros" when thinking about it. Not that this particular girl doesn't have positive aspects about her, it's just I can't think of anything better about a mom over a single girl w/out a kid. There will be times that the kid will do cute things and you will be glad to have seen it, but I don't know if that's what you're looking for in the case of a "pro".
As for cons I always found it frustrating the time available she had. We worked together so I got to spend time with her there, but after work she would go home and get her son cleaned up and ready for bed and then put him down to sleep before taking a shower herself. It was usually about 10:30 or 11 before we ever had any time together. And on the weekends it can sometimes be tough getting a babysitter so going out can be a pain, especially when the kid gets suddenly sick and she has to stay home with him. Don't forget too the baby's daddy, sometimes he may come around and it can get very awkward.
Basically it's up to you, at 18 you have to ask yourself what you want, if you want someone that's available to you more then I wouldn't persue it seriously. However, if you do want to pursue something serious then go for, but be warned about some of the things I pointed out, cuz it won't be easy.
