"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Going out alone to pick up girls?

I had a recent post-hook up rejection (ie. an hour ago) that's pissed me off. I'd like to drink a beer or two, go out to a bar or something, and try to pick up a girl. I'm not really full-on depressed...the emotions are just dull (dulled emotions from constant shallow interactions has become quite common for me), but it's definitely buzzing around the back of my mind.

Anyways, I don't have anyone to go with. Most of my friends are out of town, and the ones that are here don't wanna go out. I'm a young guy, good looking, and I haven't tried going out alone like that yet. Would that be a bad idea, or what? If it's not a "bad idea", would someone mind making suggestions?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

If anything it's a good idea.

I love rolling with my boys out to the bars, but sometimes you learn the most when you're by yourself. I've had some of the best nights with women when I was all alone.

Your mindset is your own, not your friends. Approach women, and let rejection roll off your shoulder. Chances are you'll never meet these women again.

Sometimes it's good to learn to fend for yourself. There are way too many guys out there who WON'T go out by themselves simply due to confidence. Now we aren't nonconfident are we?

Is there a place to find DJs for going out? Alone sux, I know how it feels, since I have no valid driver license, plus a hot 01 GT, would love to meet to hang out and practice in Miami. I dont get to go out every day, no ride.

Cool, well...it's only 9 now, I'll be heading out in a few hours. Any suggestions, stories, tips?

When I go out with friends I use them as a social cushion, I suppose. We all know how that works though...how does one go about their business without that type of cushion?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
