Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Generally I know that going back to your ex, no matter how long you were broken up for, is a dumbass move that will only result in more anguish and another breakup for the same reasons. A long time ago I was too weak to get rid of a girl I should have, so I found this to be true in my case. I always advise others to avoid the ex, but I want to hear it from you boys.

So let's hear it - have you gone back to an ex? How did it turn out? Maybe we'll see how often it works out.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Yes and no.

With most of my exes, I always end it off on good terms and stay a friend to them. There have been times where I have spent a night over at an ex gf's and hooked up (once, the girl was on a break with her current bf). However I've never gone back to a "relationship" with an ex. To me, relationships are all or nothing. If it doesn't work out the first time, it wont work out the 2nd.

Peace.

Unless, it's one of those "pick your own ending" books! :D

But seriously,
never go back unless its for a booty call.

I made that mistake once, and i would never do it again.

Okay, take it from me...

I have been with this one girl for nearly two years. We'll call this chick TheNextPsycho. we were off an on mostly because of fighting over stupid sh!t.

Don't get me wrong I love the h3ll out of her...or more importantly I should say I LOVED the h3ll out of her. It just got to the point where I could not physically or mentally be with her any more regardless of my emotions.

I haven't been with her for a few weeks now and I am loving my life. Its finally gotten back on track, going to classes and crap like that.

It is my opinion that if a person is an ex they should stay that way. There is no reason what so ever you should get back with an ex, sex or anything else. If you want to remain friends that is cool but never do it for the sex...that only makes things worse.

If you want to read some of my thoughts on the subject matter of ex's and getting back with them go to http:\\whereimat1.tripod.com and go to my blog and read some of the things I have written. You probably will be able to tell which of the things are about TheNextPsycho.

I guess in closing I would like to say again that no matter what, no matter how horny you are, and no matter how bad they make you feel to never never never EVER get back with an ex. It is the sh!ttiest feeling in the world knowing that you are trapped with one girl that makes you feel horrible and that you know things will never work out with.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

People who eventually get married or develop a good LTR often break-up at some point, so they have basically gone back with an ex. It happens alot.

I do have one ex that I would get back into a relatioship with. The only thing that we split for was for her to move. With my other ex's I dont think I would.

For the most part it depends on the terms of the breakup. I dont cheat nor to the best of my knowledge have I been cheated on. I'm not with my ex's mainly because of differences that probably could have been reconciled if I tried.

I've had casual sex with some of my ex's but under no circumstancs have I ever concidered dating an ex girlfriend. It's against company policy and it's really bad for buisness in general.

I mean why would I want to do that? If we broke up then obviusly something wasn't working and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expectind different results. Besides there are plenty of avalible girls all over the place, no need to revisit someone who I know things didn't work out with. Also meeting new people is what life is all about, and this definately applies to girls. Everybody has a different story to tell about their take on the world, how they're makin it, their upbringing, etc etc. Why bother hearing the same story again when there's lots of good stuff out there that you haven't heard before?

I dont think its a good idea to go back to an ex. I did it once and it didnt work out. She eventually ask me back like a year later, but I said no because she was the one that broke up with me. If it doesnt work out the first or even second time its never going to work out.
As for my last gf, shes been calling me and trying to get back into my life. We are still friends, but in no way are we getting back together. She put me through so much that I dont want to relive it again. Shes very attractive, but that is not enough to get back into my life.
I think that there are exceptions. If you broke up with your gf for a couple of days or weeks because of some stupid argument then its ok to get back together. I have so many friends that were on and off with their gf's. Some worked out and some didnt. I think its better to buy a new pair of underwear rather than continue wearing one that has been soiled on.
