"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

OK, well there is this girl in school and she is one of the more popular girls in the school. I have a few classes and even sit right next to her in one of them but I have no clue what to say to her most of the time. I get her to laugh a lot, and flirt with her a bit, but I just can't get any further, and I don't know why. HELP!! Also, her birthday is in 5 days, if anyone can give me something creative to do it would be very helpful!!!

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

First of all, don't jump in too fast. How did you find out her birthday is in 5 days? Unless she tells you, or it's publicly announced (my school has a list of birthdays on our scrolling marquee thing on the TVs), don't let her know that you know, since it'll mark you as a stalker.

Secondly, just keep doing what you're doing. From your post, I gather that you haven't gotten too far past casual conversation. What you should probably do is kino the hell out of her for the next few days, then invite her to some function/ask her out to something. The key is to be steady.

By the way, what part of Jersey are you from? I lived in Jersey City for 7 years, it's a fun place

Don't get her anything. You probably don't get your best friends anything on their bdays. Forget her...unless she does you a favor that is :)

hooooooooold on here buddy, do not even ACKNOWLEGDE her b-day UNLESS she told you it was that day, then say "happy birthday" that's IT if you ever want anything form this chick.

Other than that, popular girls that get a lot of attention are even easier for me, because it's easier to stand out. Every other loser trying to get her WILL get her a bday present and WILL be sucking up to her all the time. Poke fun at things she does a little bit, tease her. Make it look like you are interested and then don't call, stuff like that. You'll instantly stand out and she will CRAVE you. It sounds and maybe even looks assholish, but you are having fun and laughing with her the whole time, which is key. Keep it light and funny/not serious when making fun. And keep throwing in sexual innuendo at every chance. It's easy from there.
