You guys realize there are now kids born in the 90s who are legally considered adults?

It blows my mind some of the great stuff these kids missed out on. My sister is almost 18, and she knows nothing of Seinfeld, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Nirvana, 2pac, Boyz II Men, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo. I remember dances in middle school, awkwardly getting up the nerve to slow dance with girls to "I'll Make You Love to You" and going home with my buddies and playing Streets of Rage 2 all night on my Sega.

Those were the days. All the crap pop culture puts out now is disgusting. My sister is into all sorts of weird emo and pop punk bands. Listening to it makes me want to puke. It's got nothing on Sublime, Nirvana, Pearl Jam or even Soundgarden.

Sports aren't the same anymore at all, either. Remember when the NBA was something you'd stay home on Friday nights to watch? I remember when I was in the seventh grade I watched every Bulls home game the year Jordan returned from his second retirement and Chicago won 72 games.

Those were the days. If you're reading this and you're too young to know what I am talking about, then I feel bad for you because this decade sucks. The 90s were the decade where music was awesome, video games were at their apex and professional athletes were more down to earth and engaging than they ever have been.

Everything you said I miss too.

Also it was a great time for wrestling with the Monday Night Wars the NWO and the reuniting of the Hart Foundation Vs. Degeneration-X where Bret Hart would come out every night and give hilarious heel promos about what scum the American wrestling fans were and what a great hero he was while Shawn Michaels would blow his nose with the Canadian flag to antagonize Bret just great great stuff all around and it was also the rise of the Attitude Era and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The decade we're living in now is complete garbage.

It belongs to crap like Fox News, Eminem, 50 Cent, John Cena, Ken Kennedy, bald crazed half dead Britney Spears basically just low quality garbage almost every where you look.

Videogames are still damn good though and don't seem to be slowing down on how much better they can get especially with Resident Evil 5 coming out this year and Halo 3 breaking sales records of any entertainment product ever made but yeah the mid to late 90's ruled.

I forgot all about wrestling. I remember being glued all night to the TV on Monday nights, flipping between Nitro and Raw. The Rock was there with his people's elbow, and me and my buddies used to do the DX "suck it" signs on our wastes during Raw. The wrestlers were great, but the real reason all of us were watching was because we were waiting for Sable to walk out. Wrestling kind of died with Owen Hart in 1999.

But back in the 90s MTV actually played videos and it had Beavis and Butthead too. My buddy and I always joke that Beavis and Butthead had a profound effect on our generation. I know it made my sense of humor what it is today. I was working out the other day and a married couple was calling their 7-year-old "Toner". It was obviously a nickname for Tony, but I still laughed because it sounded like boner. That is a clear Beavis and Butthead influence.

I wonder if my sister even knows that MTV used to play music videos. Real World and Road Rules used to even be good back in the 90s. Now, they're just standard reality television trash.

Video games are so damn complex anymore. They're like a hobby you have to practice each day to be good at. All these complex online games like Halo and World of Warcraft are too time-consuming to enjoy. Even if you like modern video games more, you have to admit no fighting game will ever top Mortal Kombat II or Street Fighter.

Ghostbusters was the only thing good to come out of the 80s. The rest of it was just embarrassing.

Damn.. flashbacks now, haha. You're completely right though. The 90's were so good. Even though the early 90s I was a baby but I still caught up.

I remember freshman year of high school I ripped off a bunch of lines from this 2pac song in a poem or a love note or something I wrote for some girl. You definitely couldn't do that with the rap songs that come out now.

Alot of things came out in the 80's. Great music, Nintendo the original. The 49ers and joe montana. The great bears defenses. Michael jordans rookie year. Magic johnson lakers and larry bird celtics. The old detroit pistons with isiah thomas. I must say the style was kind of gay.

The best thing about the 90's was the introduction of mixed martial arts.

When What's the Story Morning Glory and Tragic Kingdom were some of the newest, illest albums out. Baggy Jeans instead of Skinny Jeans. The Wallflowers. Bill Clinton. Sound Garden had that really creepy video for Black Hole Sun. Y2K. Spice World. El Nino. Heavens Gate. That remake of Romeo and Juliet where everything was modern but the dialogue was still Shakespeare. Those Scream movies. Do you remember how big of a deal the OJ Simposon thing was? Or the East Coast vs. West Coast thing, and all us suburban white kids tried to pretend like we understood it and cared? When the internet was new, and you had to ask a buddy "what exactly IS e-mail?" And you'd wait for 5 minutes for one porn picture to download. You actually filled out your AOL profile, and looked at other people's AOL profiles. The movie Cruel Intentions. Barbie Girl, by Aqua. Chat Rooms. My So Called Life. "Dude, did you hear they're going to start making more Star Wars movies?" Billy Blanks and Tae Bo. Bone Thugs N Harmony Crossroads. Wierd Al parodied Gangsta's Paradise, and Coolio was offended (as if his music has so much integrity that that was out of line) and we didn't even laugh at him for it? The Rebel Flag on the South Carolina State House. Gas was under a dollar. Napster.

The nineties were fun!

I think the high point for music was the late 80s, early 90s. Everything went downhill in 1994 when Kurt offed himself and everyone was trying to be cooler than Snoop Doggy Dogg.

I also used to love how much Generation X got ragged on. Yeah, we were a lost, directionless generation, but we didn't give a 5hit :)

I ripped off a bunch of lines from this 2pac song in a poem or a love note or something I wrote for some girl.
LOL, I did that once, but it was with the song "Wash Your Face In My Sink".

The thing that sucked about the 90s was the way the girls in HS dressed. Those fvcking baggy over alls with the Calvin Klein underwear sticking out was NOT attractive.

I really miss the 90s too. I'm sure part of it was because those were the adolescent years of my life (I was born in 81), but almost everything about pop culture really was so much better. Although I'd argue that tv has actually been better in the 00's. But music was definitely better, stuff I was really into back then that I still love listening to now. I probably won't say the same of 00's music. Also, part of it may be that everything wasn't centered around the internet back then, so people weren't huddled over their computers 24/7 like they are now. I fvcking hate the myspace generation. Eh I dunno, I'm sure nostalgia is a huge part of it. But I agree that if I had a choice of being a teenager in either the 90s or the 00's all over again, I'd easily pick the 90s.

Oh, and I was really into videogames up until 4-5 years ago, but I never had as much fun with my xbox/ps2/gamecube as I did with my Super Nintendo, Playstation and N64. Yes, those were the days.

Me and My dad used to watch cartoons all the time, with bugs bunny and the rest on nickelodeon.

But now he hates all the new cartoons, and doesn't watch anymore.

Isn't it interesting how bugs bunny has been popular on shows and on TV since 1940's
but because of a small group of people they decided to end it.

The 90s rocked. Grunge music, gangsta rap, Mtv was still watchable, no paris hilton, it wasnt until late 1998 when the nsync b spears crap got in that it started to suck.

If you remember anything from the 90s, remember this

90s = No paris hilton
