US adults are dumber than the average human

WASHINGTON — It’s long been known that America’s school kids haven’t measured well compared with international peers. Now, there’s a new twist: Adults don’t either.

In math, reading and problem-solving using technology – all skills considered critical for global competitiveness and economic strength – American adults scored below the international average on a global test, according to results released Tuesday.

Adults in Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland and multiple other countries scored significantly higher than the United States in all three areas on the test.

I come across many American tourists here. Many of them ask the most dumbest questions that most other people don't. It really makes you wonder. :wave:

It probably doesn't help that most people are shying away from even getting a college education. I wasn't the brightest kid when i was younger but my younger brother and I are about 1.5 years apart and he chose not to go to college, i chose to go to college and read a tons of books since. When i hear him and my dad talk business, i really don't know how to contribute.

Their way of making money is so hard and tough (talking about starting a business of towing cars). They talk about making a few dollars here and there but for the amount of work they need to do, doesn't seem ideal.

It also doesn't help that our education system from start to finish (elementary-college) is no where near as competitive as in Asia. It's so competitive in those countries that students have committed suicide. There are pro's and cons.
