I wanted to post this in the other global warming thread but decided to create a new one. That cat is out of the bag. It's got nothing to do with saving the planet. They want to turn us all back into serfs.

Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”

Investors.com reminds Figueres that the only economic model in the last 150 years that has ever worked at all is capitalism. The evidence is prima facie: From a feudal order that lasted a thousand years, produced zero growth and kept workdays long and lifespans short, the countries that have embraced free-market capitalism have enjoyed a system in which output has increased 70-fold, work days have been halved and lifespans doubled.

Where in that quote are the words "destroy capitalism?"

Find me the part in her life story where she wants to destroy capitalism. Her husband founded a solar cell company. They are capitalists.

Do you know what a capitalist is?

A capitalist is somebody sells things and then reinvests the profits into acquiring more stuff (more capital) to build more stuff to sell.

Capitalists don't thrive in tax dollars or government subsidies, like anything related to "renewable energy." Without government subsidies, any solar or "renewable energy" company would fail.

Capitalists thrive on private property, and voluntary exchange. Not exchange under government coercion, which is essentially violence. Do what the government tells you to do (like pay somebody a certain wage) or government men with government guns will come and take you away and put you in a government cage, or at the very least levy your bank account.

Capitalists HATE government. Crony Capitalists LOVE government.

Capitalism = the use of private property and build and sell stuff to other people who are voluntarily paying for your stuff. Lots of choice, Lots of competition.

Crony Capitalism = leveraging the force of government to make people buy your stuff (e.g Obamacare). Government backed monopolies.

Most people confuse the two. Capitalism has rarely existed in its pure form. Most of the time we've had crony capitalism, which is terrible. (And also hated by all of the alleged right wing sources I post from).

The U.N would very much like to end the use of private party ownership of anything. They would very much like to be able to tell everybody what they are allowed to buy, and what they are allowed to sell. This is the opposite of capitalism. So yes, it's not difficult to see how the UN wants to destroy capitalism. Most governments (including the U.S.government) hate capitalism as well.

Pure Capitalism = ZERO government of any kind.

But the point of this whole thread is that the UN admitted what everybody already knew. They don't care about climate change. They don't care about the planet, They only want to change the economic system, and they are using climate change as an excuse to do that.

Right there in black and white, she's saying that climate change is just an excuse for something more important. Total economic control.

Nobody cares about polar bears or melting ice caps.

Pure Capitalism = ZERO government of any kind.

Sure, that's why Somalia and tribal Afghanistan are such movers and shakers in the world economy.

Republicans are talking about eliminating the EPA. I should get into the toxic waste disposal business, and just dump the sh!t in my backyard for money. That's what a good capitalist would do. That's what it means to have zero government.

That's what a good capitalist would do.

That's what a dumb capitalist would do. Plenty of economic reasons why using land for productive and continued use is much more profitable than dumping toxic waste.

But that's the beauty of PURE capitalism. The dumb ones tend to go out of business.

Everyone is a capitalist, whether they like it or not. Even the most brutal socialist countries could not escape it. It is embedded in humans to manipulate nature in order to secure resources. When a surplus of one resource is realized, it is often traded for another good or service.

All governments, including our own, redistribute. Call it socialism or whatever you like, but even (and often) under a Republican regime, the government still takes resources out of one person's hands and redistributes them. Whether it is for the benefit of society or not is a matter of opinion. The bottom line is governments do not produce anything. They redistribute and regulate. For instance, taxing your income and using the money to enforce border patrol. While it may be a hot-button conservative cause, it is still redistribution of your wealth for something that is meant to benefit all of society.

The reason I say everyone is a capitalist is because it is not in one's nature to maintain a constant status quo. People will always seek an advantage. Excessive government inevitably leads to "black markets." Walk into any prison and you will see that government can try to make things as equal as possible, but individuals will always seek out an advantage over one another.

And some choose to cooperate.
