Global Warming, Earth getting healthier?

What do you guys think about global warming? Do you think its getting worse or do you think the Earth is slowly getting healthier?

Yeah like not being as polluted as before etc...you know? The typical global warming topics. Ive heard the ice that melts in the arctic actually re-freezes in the winter and massive amounts of ice is restored

I think that too, companies are just starting to produce alternative energy but GW has been going on for years

i personally don't believe in global warming. I think its just a hoax.

Earth and sun go through many cycles......many of which we can't prove b/c nobody was around a million years ago

My first post back in the forum.

I was having a talk about this with a graduate student in Astronomy and he was telling me that the data coming out was wrong and the polar ice caps will be melted by 2012, instead of 2050.

I'm hoping that he's wrong on this because we'd pretty much be screwed on a planetary level. He hopes it happens so he can sit back and point at people and say "I told you so.":nervous:

Record snowfall across the entire northern hemisphere this winter. Winter rain in the US recently, if it was snow it would have amounted to 10 feet of snowfall.

I believe global warming is a myth(being caused by humans), but I don't doubt the effects of carbon emissions, and atmospheric pollution.

In Canada, the global warming eco-loons are on the defensive after a bitterly cold winter. They are a socialist cult using the climate as a means of getting our hard earned money so they can live on the dole and travel to sunny conferences and castigate western culture while eating shrimp and lobster. If your only reality is what you get from TV, and school, then you probably believe in their lies already. If you really searched for the truth, honestly they have been lying to you for years, and generations. Your generation probably believes this fantasy, this myth of

global warming

The WORLD has been lying to you for decades, to you, your parents and your grandparents. The WORLD want you to think only one way, that your nobody, and we're somebody, that you can't do anything, but we can do everything. That your poor, and we're rich. That your weak and stupid, and that we're strong and we know what is good for you.

Do really want to know the truth, if not then just ignore everything that I said just now. If you really want to find the answer to life, do what this verse basically says in the bible.

Search with all your heart, and you will find the answer.

The reason they have been lying to for decades is eventually they want all governments and nations to pass a tax, which is a global warming tax.
That is the goal for the WORLD, that want your money.

I think it's best to be prudent and really start taking care of the planet regardless of golbal warming being real or not (or manmade or not).

That being said, I think GW is overblown. The Earth always goes into warmer and cooler cycles. Right now we are coming out of an iceage. The Earth will warm and cool for entire time humans can inhabit it (probably or millions of more years.)

But of course that doesn't mean the Earth is ammune to us. If not careful we will destroy ourselves.

I think we could definitely be treating our planet better in a lot of ways, and should be striving to do so.

But honestly, I think it's blatantly obvious if you look that the Global warming thing has become an issue of mass hysteria.

Almost all scientists are in a state of group think, nobody's daring to challenge the assumptions, and those that do are shunned and have their careers pretty much ruined. False consensus is enforced and reported.

Any evidence that suggests they might be exaggerating is suppressed or ignored. For example, a few months ago somebody (A statistics professor no less, someone who knows what they're talking about) published a paper detailing specifically how the software used to analyze temperature data is faulty. Large cities, which have grown a lot in the last century, produce massive heat islands, so measurements taken there appear higher than true average temperature, but this isn't properly accounted for. Also, some measurement sites that use to be in the country side have now been enveloped by cities and their heat islands, but this has often been ignored also.

The concept that we'll melt all the ice caps within a decade is ludicrous, and so is all this end of the world stuff, there have been plenty of times in the past where the atmosphere contained much more CO2, and nature flourished.

And of course politicians and businesses are all too happy to jump on the bandwagon, since the public believes the scientists, and its an extremely convenient excuse. Energy costs sky rocketing? Well of course we won't provide more, that would be bad for the environment. Every single summer our power grid in Canada is stretched to the very limit by air conditioners, but the government refuses to expand the system, telling us to conserve instead - while charging higher rates at the same time! This would be outrageous, but people are okay with it because building more power plants would be bad for the environment.

I think we should be better for the environment, but I think we're focusing on entirely the wrong things. Hard metal pollution and other toxins, chemical contamination, acid rain, habitat loss, are all problems we should be focusing on far before global warming. But the hysteria's caught on, and good luck trying to change that momentum. Hell, I'm probably going to be flamed for this by people that can't consider another opinion.

(For the record I'll save you one line of attack, I'm not some uneducated idiot who just doesn't understand the science of it, I know quite a bit of science, I just don't agree with these arguments.)

global warming is a result of an unhealthy things being put into the atmosphere, so the worse the global warming is, the more unhealthy the earth is.

the polar ice caps are starting to melt , which is bad.

I wish people that advance the global-warming-caused-by-man theory would explain how it's historical and scientifically accepted fact that there were dinosaurs in Canada and tropical conditions in N. America in the past before any human influence.
