And yes, looks do play a part. If you're so bothered about it, get a good workout routine, hit the gym, eat well, groom well, get some fashion sense and good clothes.

Guys are lucky in that way that even someone who isn't 'good looking' in the conventional sense (ie facial features etc) can improve their looks through clothes, gym, etc. Plus working hard in your career will improve sex-appeal anyway. If a girl is not so good looking make-up can sometimes help, but usually they're screwed lol.

So OP, get started on improving your life. After a good workout program that you stick to for months, getting a wardrobe makeover,getting success in your career (and financial gain/stability) AND enjoying your life regardless of women, I GUARANTEE you will not find women a problem.

What you posted here is just a prime example of letting the external world (things that you cannot control) affect your internal world (your feelings, things you can control, your philosophy etc..) When you let this happen, you become weaker as a person.

For example, you find a particular girl very attractive and your friend says "dude that girl is ugly!"..

a.) You dump the girl because your friend is viewing you in a negative light for being with her. (external: you cannot control your friend's thoughts.)

b.) You stay with the girl because you know she's beautiful and that's all you're really concerned with. (internal: Your views are the ones that count, not everyone else.)

If you pick (a.) then 2 weeks later, your friend could be with your hot ex girlfriend. Or your stupid friend who can't keep his negative opinions to himself thinks better of you (why would you wanna be around this guy?).

If you pick (b.) then you stay with your girlfriend that you think is hot and you're happy. Your friend stops hanging out with you because he's pissed off. Good riddance.

What I'm saying here Rocko90 is that you need to develop a positive and strong internal world view and not let any external forces affect it. Think about it like a palisade around a castle. If you have a strong palisade defending your castle (your internal world view) then you will be happy and comfortable even when being challenged. But if your palisade is falling apart in a certain area, then it is easier for the enemy to enter and conquer your castle (someone breaking through your defenses and affecting your internal world view negatively)
