Giving parents my grades

Question to all you out there, I am a junior in high school, and I just got the lowest grades I have ever gotten my whole life(mostly Cs and one D) and was wandering the best way to approach my parents about it. I am really nervous, and I have to give it to them tomorrow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well first ask yourself why did I get such low grades this semester? Then when you figure out why your grades so low give your grades to your parents and tell them why your grades were lower. Whatever the reason was BE HONEST ABOUT IT. If it was because you felt burnt out this semester, tell them it's because you felt burnt out this semester. If you had a close friend or relative get sick or die during the semester and that was really stressful for you, tell them that. I know it may sound dumb, but if your are honest about why your grades are so low your parents will probably be more leniet on you and will have more trust in you in the future. Also make sure you say "but I will work on improving them this semester" or something along those lines.

I did alter my grades, sort of, in Middle school. thing is though, that I ended up confessing this, cuz I am a pretty honest guy, and though my parents forgave me, they might still suspect something. I will probably go with glutus maximus' advice, though. Thanks, both of you.

I got a really low GPA one semester... was like a 1.75. I ended up calling my sister to find out what to say... She said start the convo out like this, "I really messed up this semester and I learned that I have to work harder now and I will do better."
