Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ok so I have a kind of weird question. See I am a poor ass college student without a job and all the money I have is from my parents. They havent been giving me much on break either.

My older brother is basically married to this one girl, and she had a necklace from an old boyfriend that had alot of knots in it. She said if I could fix it I could have it, so I did.

Now I want to give it to my girlfriend. I was going to somehow scrounge up the money to buy her new jewelry, but what I had in mind was exactly the necklace I was given. Except this one has a little diamond on it.

I think she will love it, but I dont know what to tell her. I am going to be getting a box for it. I dont know if I should tell her the truth about how I got it, or pretend that it is new, or just avoid ever telling her where I got it.

Anyone got any advice here? I hate lying about things to her, which makes me want to just tell her where I got it, but I also want her to like it.

If I give her this necklace I am still going to buy her something else that actually costs me a little.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I'd think...

think

that she will like it even more. It's coming from the heart this present. I'm sure that if she has feelings for you from the heart she will LOVE it.

My panties are coming off just from reading that you know?

Why do you want to spend so much money on your girlfriend?? you are not marring her. Only give a chick a diamond when you want to marry her.

You are broke and probably have some debts. I say sell the necklace to a pawn shop and from that money get her something nice, cheaper and pay off some bills or buy yourself something.

They say diamond lasts forever, but they never say the same thing about a relationship.

Yeah, do it man...there's no problem with re-gifting....i wouldnt tell her though not a good idea and dont go over board on the gifts, not a good idea.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I agree with Captain Popular

Give her the necklasce.

Who says "Thanks..... is it new?" when they get a gift. Don't offer any information about where it came from.

It's okay, any kinda gift matters. New or Old, as long as it isn't all messed up - it's all good. Ignore others who say "Why should you give gifts - she might not last long as a girlfriend" I'm going to disagree with this, giving a gift is a "at moment" kinda thing - it's not a long term agreement to anything.

But if you want to think like those SINGLE GUYS in this thread that scream "don't give her any gifts!!! she's not worth it unles syou plan to marry her!" well then that's the reason why they're single. So take it from REAL DJs, especially me who is part of the SO SUAVE ELITE SQUAD who knows the real advice and real facts here and seperate it from the opiniosn and falsehoods. That's right, dumb teenagers.

Don't listen to the miserly dung-punks. Gifts are great. Generosity is wonderful.

Give her a pearl necklace that she can wear with pride.

i wouldnt say it was new, but she might ask where you got it. you could say you got it from someone for a really good deal and when you saw it , you knew she would love it.
which is exactly what happened.

i think you should tell her that actually.

honestly there are two types of women when it comes to jewelery. its best to learn this now.
theres the kind of girl who will not wear anyone elses stuff, because she is picky, however wants lots of stuff that she cant afford.
and then there is the other type, who knows that a ring or a necklace from a guy who loves her is a symbol and it doesnt matter if someone else wore it before , what store it came from, how big the stone is, none of that matters.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
