She's a quality girl, educated, very caring, does a lot for me, etc. Her mother is very materialistic. I make a good salary, not quite 6 figures, but getting there. I run my own practice, etc. This girl comes from an extremely wealthy background, and the mother has been telling her that I'm a downgrade, etc, because she feels her daughter needs someone that is a doctor, or comes from money. I loved her parents, thought they were wonderful people, but the girl was heartbroken that her mother said this about me, and also thought I was not attractive enough for her. I'd say I'm a solid 6.5-7, good shape, muscular, etc. I'd say she's about a 7,maybe a 9 when all glamed up. Now, low and behold a few days later(today) The girl is texting me things, I could've done better, small, minor things, it's like she flipped a switch, and has the blinders on, and focusing on whatever little negative thing I have done throughout our relationship. I responded once, and have just been ignoring the texts that have been pouring in such as "then there was that one time where you didn't help me with ___" the last one she sent, being that I ignored her was "what are you doing?" what course of action should I take?

She's lying to you.

The mother isn't the problem. My Grandmother on my Mom's side hated my Dad (despite him being in the military and being kind and cordial to everyone) and she still married him, her mom's feelings be damned.

Her "Mom" is the fake-out reason she gets to use as to why she's dumping you. In reality: LOW INTEREST. Anytime a woman starts pin-pointing out minor things or negatives about you it's due to LOW INTEREST. Anytime a woman complains about what you're not doing for her, despite doing tons of other things for her, it's due to LOW INTEREST. And, usually when they start doing this, they're doing it in the hopes that you'll dump THEM first so they don't have to be the "bad guy" in the scenario.

What should you do? For starters, don't have a conversation this important with her over text messaging. Meet up with her in person and tell her that if all this stuff is bothering her, you're not afraid to just end it and walk away. Oftentimes a woman will talk to a guy any way she likes because she doesn't think he'll leave; at the same time, they need to understand that disrespect will not be tolerated no matter how much you may like her, and that if she has a problem with the program you're cool with ending it.

You also need to let her know that if her Mom really IS influencing her, you don't need her around because "you fell for her because you thought she had a mind of her own, not someone else's." Then see where the convo goes from there.

Remember: no woman is worth keeping who's going to be constantly nagging you or being unappreciative of your efforts. If she's doing this now, it's only going to get worse later unless you nip it in the bud as soon as possible. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the well thought out, informative post! Yes it certainly helps. We will need to have a sitdown convo rather than text. You may be right, I think her interest level has been declining, been a lot more of my effort then her effort, lately. The whole story with the mother was she was criticizing me, and also her other siblings relationships, the girl got all upset with her mother, they had a fight, etc. I don't know the entire details, but it seems the girl was more upset that her mother didn't approve of what she valued, rather than her mother didn't exactly approve of me.

I second Harry's diagnosis. This will only get worse. Man up and end this immediately. You will forever have two women constantly degrading you at every chance they get. You do NOT need this. No female is worth this headache, and she is NOT the last female known to man.

What will happen is you eventually will begin to believe you're not good enough. It will seep into your psyche and one day you will not even be able to produce a single thought of fighting back. End this now while you can, and rid yourself of this splinter of a girl. You say she is a quality girl? You may want to examine that statement.

Have yourself a sit down, tell her she can live merrily with her mom, and save your head from further emotional turmoil. Own the conversation, steer it, let nothing persuade you to deter your decision, and put this thing to rest, man.

...that is...of course, if you make the choice to do so.

Good luck, and let us know how it went.

Thanks for the post Vlad. Yes, we have ended it. We never had the face to face sit down. She continued with her barrage of "you're too patronizing, selfish, etc." texts. Along with the other critical judgement her mother made of me in the first post. The sit-down really wasn't necessary. She still offered to meet so I can get a few things back of mine, and her get back her things as well, and she apologized for ending it via text, I don't care. I'm leaning on just blocking her number, and her just keeping my items.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

You make near 6 figures and her mother disapproves her? How wealthy is this chick? I doubt the mother did anything to earn her wealth either, based on her personality she's probably a gold digger and married her husband for his money, or inherited money from her parents.

I detest people who think they're better than others through no action of their own other being born to wealthy parents. Earn your wealth, then act like you've accomplished something.
