"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Women very well do approach guys in bars and clubs. That's where I got most of my action back in the day. Never once did I initiate, or get used for attention. I only ever initiated twice in my whole life, but had tons of women. It's all about looks in this respect. If women find you "hot", or whatever - they WILL approach. Always. Even to just talk (though that's just to break the barriers down).

To the OP: Low self-esteem is the worst thing ever. I was in the same boat for a long time. Simply refused to believe anyone could be interested, and sabotaged like you wouldn't believe. Everything was negative, and based off fear and insecurity. Chumped out, was oblivious, pushed everyone away. Horrible position to be in. Self-esteem is a must. Never hate or doubt yourself, or you'll hate and doubt everything. Not a good way to live.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Also, be aware that girls who are too shy to approach you directly, will talk to your friend first, in the hopes that your friend will invite you into the conversation, or the girl will gradually talk to you also after a brief period.

Approached by maybe 10 girls or so over the past 3 nights out. This is a great thing if you want to hook up with a crazy number of girls in the 5-7 range, with occasional 10's thrown into the mix.

I'm finding I'm either not very impressed with the middling cute girls who approach me, or either still intimidated/nervous by the occasional 10's who approach me.

I've also discovered that the traditional q and a conversational approach once these girls approach just don't do it for me. I'm often bored with their answers and don't want to spend any more time with them. I'm going to have to steer conversations in a more sexual, interesting direction so I CAN find something interesting about them to reward.

I would say that girls just walking up and approaching guys is fairly rare, at least in the way that men approach women. Women are usually more subtle than that. For example, a woman may ask a guy for the time and then linger, hoping he will continue talking to her....
Often too subtle for their own damn good, especially when the guy has a few drinks in him. Too many times I've been sobering up on the way home and suddenly realize why some chick was acting "weird" around me.

Although not in a situation when girls aproach me or not when im drunk, this happened to me like 10 times during last two months, basicly I didnt know what happened until after 15 minutes or a couple of days when I remembered the situation by some odd reason.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
