"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey guys, in a really tough situation now; I'll make it very concise. Some background information: I am 17, she is 16.
Was with a girl for a month, she broke up with me. A friend got us back together again.

A day after we got back together I asked her, "Would we still be together if it weren't for your friend?" She said, "No." (I know, bad sign.)
NOTE: She broke up with me because I talk to a lot of women. (Which is true, I can't deny it, but I liked this girl a lot, she knew that.)
Anyway, a week later, she broke up with me because her parents found out, and she is not suppose to be dating boys. (Yes, I got dumped 2 times in a 2 weeks.)

She dumped me a day before she went on vacation and she will be back in 3 days, haven't talked to her since the "breakup" phone call we had that went something like this...

Girl: Hey
Me: Hey
Girl: What's up?
Me: Nothing, you?
Girl: Nothing.. listen I got to tell you something.. this can't work out anymore.. my parents found out.
Me: Wait, what?
Girl: Blah (Lasted another 2 minutes)
Girl: Hey listen I have to go, ttyl
Me: Um.. okay... ttyl
Girl: Bye
Me: Bye

(Yes, I know.. bad move, I should have ended the conversation first. But honestly, I thought that conversation would have lasted A LOT longer than 5 minutes.)

What do I do now? And I don't want answers such as, "Move on, find another girl." Where I live, not many options. I am only 17, forget about going elsewhere. She is a keeper, and I know if I play the moves right... I can get her running back to me.

Appreciate the advice, I tend to be better at giving people advice than giving myself advice... want to get some different views here!

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Move on, find another girl.

"Nothing.. listen I got to tell you something.. this can't work out anymore.. my parents found out."
well sounds like a casual way of saying it... as if it doesn't phase her one bit.

"Blah (Lasted another 2 minutes)"
was that 2 minutes of excuses? or what?

"Hey listen I have to go, ttyl"
don't expect much from her... if you guys even talk again.

--

if she wants you, she would at least make a deal with her parents... if she was crazy about you, she'd be sneaking behind their backs to be with you.

--

Move on, find another girl.

Not an option? You're not trying... get a job (if you don't have one), you'll meet plenty.

I suppose those are right, how would I talk to her now though?
She wants to be "friends" so do I just act friends with her, do I ignore her, etc?
Also want more views and opinions about this. Thanks!
