According to the article, Jordan's girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher broke up with him while they had a trip around the world planned.

He made an online plea looking for a woman, with the exact name as his ex, to take on the trip. He ended up finding another woman with the same name and she agreed to go with him.

The catch is that the trip is strictly platonic as she already has a boyfriend.
