"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

cod3r...don't you cheat on her? doesn't seem very serious of that's true.
She's the only female i've never cheated on... 9 months monogomous

Also the fact shes only been here for 6 years she probably does not have a lot of friends or have not adapted to the american culture very well.

Maybe you're all shes got.

Stop being such a jerk and understand the girl a little. I'm telling you if you don't hold onto her .. well shes an asian girl .. you know they don't stay single for very long.
She dosen't have any American friends, all of her friends are Japanese (every single one). When we hang out with them, I just sit back and catch a few catch words lol its actually interesting...

Also, I know the 'cultural' difference and I give her breaks, I'm never on her case at all, just last night was special and she really over-stepped her bounds. I'm not a 'jerk' as you'd call me, and I understand very well why she acted the way she did and hence why I forgot all about it today and don't hold it against her...

That sounds like some Dr. Phil psychobabble to me. If you keep your emotions to yourself, you would not have these little fights in the first place.
Yeah but then a few months down the line when she can't keep her emotions to herself anymore, she blows up at me for being late to the movies and breaks my xbox360... sorry flashback again... I've been in more than enough relationships to know communication is key, it may lead to little fights but it avoids the huge pitfalls...

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I agree that women are incapable of keeping their feelings to themselves, but that is all the more reason that we as men need to do so. It takes two to fight. Plus, I think it's healthier to keep her guessing as to what you are thinking. Sharing your thoughts and showing all your cards just leads to trouble, or at least it always has for me.

^ ^ I can conceded to agree with your point...

I guess I have my girl on 300% lock and thats why I've been getting a little sloppy. I'm still an advocate of open communication, but yeah maybe i've been sloppy... possibly...
