Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

That's where that phrase comes from. It doesn't mean you should stop trying to better yourself. You always should be doing that, no matter where you are in life. But when you're out picking up on the ladies, be your "best" self.....
Yeah, I totally agree. I definitely believe in being yourself. That doesn't mean you should stagnate, never learn anything, never leave your comfort zone. A man (especially) should always be trying to improve himself, and that is definitely part of being myself, because I am always wanting to improve. As I imagine most guys here do.

To be yourself means to be comfortable in your own skin, that's how I take it anyway. Everybody has their own unique type of charm, humor, etc. You might call being yourself being confident in your own self. If you're only 5'7" or whatever OWN it. Everybody has their own interests. Be yourself doesn't mean sit on the couch and never do anything. But you don't have to adopt a fake PUA personality in order to acheive anything, and that includes attracting girls.

Now you don't want to be a wimp, that's not going to benefit any man. You might say "But I'm a wimp, so if I be myself I'll be a wimp." No, as a man you have testosterone, you are not meant to be wimp. Get out there, dig deep, and be your best self.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
