"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Hello again,

There's this female at my school who transfered from a Relgious private school to a public school a few years back, and she seems pretty quite. I've tried breaking the ice with her a few times, didn't very go far, seems like she has no interest. I'm not posistive of this since she has a very tight knit group of friends, so I don't plan on giving up soon. Other than making me feel some what awkward when I talk to her, she's pretty decent.

Any tips on what you guys did around those chicks who seem to have brick walls up around them?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

No reply?

I've tried talking to her some more, she seems to be talking a bit more but it feels like she doesn't want to keep the convo going. She'll answer with long replies (not the, "yes", "no" stuff) but she'll never really offer anything to keep the conversation rolling.

Well, try to get to know her. I don't mean like a wuss, but get a connection with her. She's more of a relationship kind of girl, I'm thinking.
So you could call her maybe? Get a number.

I'd need to get more of a rapport going before I get the digits. I don't think she's ever had a boyfriend (mind you we are still in highschool) before and she'd be turned off by fast pace. I'll just try to keep talking to her when I can and see where I can go from there.

Neg hits not usually work on these kind of girls? She has a sense of humor, but sometimes she doesn't pick up on the sarcasm too much.

I know what you mean. If you want to date her, you'll have to make her fall in love with you, which is easy.
Just talk to her some more.
David D says it's ok to talk alot on the phone, after she warms up to you, and you know she's attracted.
Until then, keep at it. But once you can, really make her feel that connection with you.
A lot of people feel misunderstood, and if you can understand them, and feel the same way, they will really like you.
Like emo girls.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
